The response was overkill, but because of a manufacturing facility I assume that had to happen. I counted at least 5 towns responding, and that was just the back parking lot. I don't know what was in front. The news said it was a 2 alarm response.
Nothing major and was in a room near me where calibration is done to measuring tools.
There is a pot of wax in there they use to dip stuff in after calibration. It's really useless and we take it off when the gauge is returned and used, but they've probably been doing it for the past 75 years. That pot exploded and caught fire. Lot's of water and the room was a good mess. We were all back inside in about 90 minutes.
With Kidde being part of the company name and making fire suppression equipment, and we catch fire, it gets attention.
