Happy Festivus.

Digging the pole out of the attic as we speak. I find tinsel distracting.

48 degrees today. First time I've ever driven it on Christmas Eve. I'll drive it tomorrow too!

Nice car Cody. Maybe I can drive my '65 Corvair tomorrow if it does not rain.

I must admit I'm pretty short on Christmas spirit myself. It used to mean a whole lot, and I wish I could find it again, but that's something that can't be forced. I feel guilty that I don't feel guilty sometimes.

Same. It was such a magical time when I was a kid. I'd like to pass that down to Liam, and his brother coming soon, but with today's world and the state of affairs, it's not going to be easy. Everyone is just rushing around just to get the holidays over with. At least around here, no one gets to actually ENJOY the time anymore. It's just a chore now...

Well, I certainly don't begrudge anyone happiness and a Merry Christmas this time of year. I remember what it's like, and always will cherish memories from when it was magic.

Even when I was married she and I just went through the motions and pretended for the benefit of others. But that's hypocritical in a way. I'm more comfortable dealing with reality than pretending otherwise.

Despite all that, for those that genuinely feel the spirit, here's wishing you a very happy and Merry Christmas in all sincerity.
