They always do the iodine contrast for me. I've never had any kind of immediate reaction, but after so many times now my salivary glands are swollen. "Iodide mumps" is the closest thing we've found. Even Stanford doesn't really know why.

So - enjoying the new ride? Nothing like new car smell.
Remember to break your engine in better this time by putting it through its paces (incl redline) so you don't have all that oil consumption like 5.0. Don't just drive in MA traffic.

When I was diagnosed with it last month, I had to drink this awful stuff before the scan. I posted about it in the hate thread. Then I had the dye injected when the scan was being done. Your first one was probably more of an emergency scan so no time to drink the stuff.

I've only got 77 miles on it right now. Really haven't gone anywhere yet except to a friends house and Walmart. Lot's of new car smell in it. A lot more than when the Mustang was new. Comfortable ride too.
I put it in sport mode today and it was a lot more responsive. I flew up one of my favorite on ramps and it was pretty quick. Sport mode brings it from FWD Auto to a 40/60 split and turns off traction control. Lots of variations in the 4WD so i'll be learning them as I go.

I've had the barium before a couple of different
I drank it when they have me an upper GI many years ago
And then they placed it in me when I had my lower GI

Went to a halloween costume party at my son's place when he was in med school. One couple came, he was in camo pants and his wife wore a camo shirt. They were "upper & lower GI"

Blame the whole thing on gluten free food when your family brings it up. Tell them you require cheese burgers and such. seriously though get well.
Saw an article the other day about the researcher that came up with the gluten health scare thinks his study data was faulty. Said celiac disease does exist, but not near as widespread as people think. That is a quite a blow to the gluten free industry.
