What's happening folks?
Dave, you're gonna enjoy that shifter. I have the same ball in black/red.
I got to go golfing this afternoon. Pretty crappy round but happy to finally get out there. Haven't played in over a year. New putter and driver did quite well though.

I wish the top of the shift boot sat flush with the jambnut though. Because of the angle of the shifter handle/lever, it doesn't quite match up.

Could be a sticky lifter that an oil additive might help.

If it is as easy as an exhaust leak, tell them to prove it - as in fix it.
Could be as easy as tightening the manifold nuts or replacing the exhaust doughnut. But if its a cracked manifold, that's different.

It's a 302 car. Doesn't matter if the motor is ticking or not. Those are so easy to work on and parts are cheap. If the car is straight, no worries.

Surprisingly, I got to drive the 500 today. That massive rain this week must have gotten rid of most of the gravel they put down. There was some, but not bad.

God I love that car, its just so much fun to drive and great all around, you could easily drive it every day. Cruises relatively smoothly and quietly considering what it is. But just a move of the shifter and a stab on the throttle its like the gates of hell have been kicked open. Totally different animal. Loud, brutal and fast. I love it.

But the weather man is calling for 6+ inches of snow Tuesday, so I assume more gravel is on the way.

Oh, its freakin' wonderful. This has been the coldest winter I can remember down here in 30 years. Had one back in the 70's where it was colder for a longer period of time, but its been down to -4 last week. That is the coldest I can recall here. That winter in the 70s was brutal. Had a wicked ice storm, lots of snow, and lakes froze over to the point that we (stupidly) walked around on them and built snow men.

Nothing short of a miracle that we didn't fall through and die. My God we were stupid as kids. A 13 year old boy and some of his buddies went out on a pond last week when it had been so cold. The ice broke and he didn't make it out.

So sad. You'd think people around here would know better, but they're still out there before it's frozen over enough.

Of course right now you can drive a truck out there and not have to worry much at all.

I like the shifter. I've got it adjusted to just about the shortest throw I can make. The wife hates it but man, the shifts are so fast.

Should I be ashamed that I'm so into certain models of the mustang that I was unaware of what the 71-73 model looked like?

Yes.

You should be locked in that dark closet you grew up in.

it's not that I'd never seen one, I just never paid attention to it like a I would a 69-70 or a fox, etc. I couldn't recall its looks.
