I'm so sick of oil threads. I click them hoping for something interesting, and by the end of the first page I have to close it. Holy crap, the internet has turned everyone into engineers. They read a few threads on bobistheoilguy and suddenly they're petroleum scientists, talking about shear and particulates and all kinds of other ****. And of course then the Ams-oil cult members show up and start their pitches. They're like the Sunshine Carpet Cleaners.

Been slammed around here...no time to touch my stuff and the 50th is approaching fast. Was going to take the Saleen but realistically it won't be ready so I added a new one to the stable tonight....picked up an '03 Mach 1 ...Needs a little work but runs fantastic. Gotta love someone in a bind for cash needing to sell a car!

I'll third that!

Speaking of oil. Dad has his oil changed yesterday. He went to work this morning, and came to meet me for dinner. When he pulled up I heard some knocking. He mentioned he'd just noticed it too. After dinner, I checked the dipstick, and it was bone dry. The dumbasses didn't put any oil back in! We left the car there, didn't want to put oil it in, so they can see. Now we're waiting to see what happens. Got a feeling we're SOL.

Was the plug tight? Filter tight? Maybe left the old filter gasket on the block? Or just didn't fill it up? If they didn't put any oil back in it, it would have went south sooner than that.

Don't really know much. It was dark, so I couldn't really look. I know there was no oil on the dipstick, but regardless, it's up to them to make sure its been done right.

I had an issue years back when I went to Jiffy Lube for my first and only time. I drove out of their driveway and noticed noise and lack of power. Then my oil light went on. I drove it back in and noticed my oil filter and oil was sitting at the bottom of their driveway. I had a Cavalier Z24 which is a 6 cylinder. They put the filter on for the 4 cylinder.

Their appraisal of the engine was sending someone out to check the oil and smell it. Since the car was running the said there was no damage and would't go any further with it.

Had the car for four years without an issue or any loss of oil.

Wasup TMSers? Off today and it's too cold to do anything.

What do you guys think about a 69 Falcon? Think I still would prefer a nova but the Falcon may just be different enough to be something special. I think they may have potential.
