Don't remember which article I read it on, but one of the comments was alluding to how politically correct we've become and said something to the effect of that if he had been a black homosexual he could have walked in with a moose and nobody would have said a word. The mental picture of that cracked me up.

This was not the company, but an idiot who worked at that store that made a stupid decision.

I hate to hear about people who have absolutely no respect for our military

Went to a surprise welcome home from Afghanistan party Friday night for my son's good friend. He's now legally deaf in his left ear, but he's back in one piece......and not even legally able to drink alcohol since he's not 21 yet

And it's snowing again

Agreed. And if you have spent any time in a Starbucks, you would know those places are full of idiots who make stupid decisions.

Most of whom are the patrons paying dollars for coffee that isn't worth pennies.

Then again, no coffee is worth more than a few pennies to me anyway. Seems like a pretty big racket.

I think there a lot of people that like being seen in Starbucks more than they like what they get at Starbucks.

As one of the most valuable and traded commodities in the world, racket is an understatement. But people still pay a lot of money for garbage coffee also. I enjoy Starbucks espresso but their brewed coffee sucks.

Some. Lots of weirdos who hang at weird places. No where close to as bad as Whole Foods stores though. Every whole foods store I've ever been in looks like the dang circus is in town. Freakin carnies everywhere. It's like they dress up strange just to go to that store because you don't see those freaks anywhere else in society. I swear there's a Carny village on the roof of every Whole foods store.

Yes, and that's pretty much my point. Much--if not most--of the products from places like starbucks are nothing more than plain coffee candied up with all kinds of syrups, colors, etc. Essentially, a far too large percentage of modern Americans (and plenty of people around the world as well) will pay for something if someone tells them it's expensive. If you have the ability to sell people on something, toss your ethics in the garbage and you'll make yourself a very rich, very sleazy individual. I'd rather be as successful as my talents can make me and be able to sleep at night.
