Did you ever get a chance to read that book I mentioned a while back? Midnight Riders: The Story of the Allman Brother's Band? Lots of cool background in there.

I'm definitely going to the Big House this year. Been planning to for a long time and haven't done it. Damned shame really, considering its practically in my back yard.

Here's one for you Gary. Audio is kinda crappy, but you get the idea.

 

That book is where I learned about the big house, and what went on there. Some crazy times for sure. Especially the "electric tea" that always stood out in my mind. Lots of stuff in there about what went on, stories about Clapton, etc. Good book for a music lover.

 

I don't remember if it was in that book or if I read it somewhere else, but I just recalled a quote by Clapton about Layla. He was asked some years later about who was playing what guitar parts on that song and all he would say was that he played the Fender and Duane played the Gibson, lol.
