Well I commend him for holding out till the kids are a good age. Splitting up with young kids can't be easy on the kids.

So yesterday was a hell of a day. Before my oldest decided to snap his arm in half I washed my car. Was out of all my wash products so I just went to Oreilys. Really satisfied with the products I picked up. Turtle Wax Ice wash soap worked very well considering how bad a quality our water is. Found a large waffle weave microfiber drying towel and I have to say it works fantastic. Meguires Ultimate line of products are great also. I have used the ultimate polish a few times before. Decided to try out the ultimate wax and I have to say its a great product also. Never been a Meg's fan but the ultimate series is making a fan out of me. Just thought I would share a few easily accessible products you guys can try instead of ordering online professional type products.

I also use that soap and like it. Seems very soft and does the job well. I like it better than the Meguiars I used to use.

Oh.
Most of the Meg's stuff is really particular to weather and temperature. The ultimate wax I even used in direct sunlight. Easy on and off and a great shine. Worth trying.

This is my favorite. Smells like candy. And leaves an awesome shine after a wash. http://www.chemicalguys.com/CG_SPEED...wac_102_16.htm

Having a high gloss black car, you really see how we'll certain products perform. Just threw out a bunch of almost full bottles of stuff that doesn't work the way I like.

Hey Nate, did you buy that Porter Cable yet?

I've been afraid of using that Qwik Detail. My car still beads like crazy and shines great after a wash so I don't need it then. But with the dust in the air or after driving out my driveway to the dirt road, there's too much dust for me to dare wipe it with anything. So I just wash it again and micro dry. Don't really get where to used the QD.
