I read earlier the rifle was still in the car - that the shots were from a couple of handguns. Hard getting a straight story.

Well I still love you no matter what. Screw Chritsmas, I hate it too. It all depresses the crap out of me, especially Christmas music. It sends me into a deep spiral of depression. I have to get away from it to keep from doing bad things.

I read that all the shots were fired from a rifle a .223 Bushmaster, the 2 hand guns they found (a Sig 10 mm and a Glock 40 cal. S&W) weren't used. But that is from the crap media.

I think there was a long gun left in the car, but the carnage went down with what I mentioned above.

Either way, he was a nut, he possessed those guns illegally, and he still committed that heinous crime. He stole the guns, he possessed them illegally, and yet he still committed this horrific crime. More gun laws would not have mattered one single bit, he was breaking every gun law there was, yet he still managed to commit this crime. That state has some of the toughest gun laws there is, but this still happened.

Go ahead, ban guns. Yeah, that will work. Just like drugs. Last time I checked meth, coke, pot, pills, etc. were illegal. I guess that I should assume that there are none of those out there. Nobody has drugs because they are illegal.

Drugs are illegal, therefore nobody has them or is using them. Good policy, guns should be the same way. If guns were illegal to own, nobody would have them.

Yeah some days it is painfully slow.
We have all these new members that do intro's and then vanish. Been barely breaking 100 members signed on lately. Guess they're all Christmas shopping or something.

Ha! I know that feeling all to well

With regards the horrific events at that school. I have no answers. I don't like guns, but then I'm sure 99.9% of gun owners are upstanding guys and gals. People kill people, not guns. That being said, we don't have a gun culture here, but we do have prolific knife crime.

But the scale of those event, especially having young children myself, means I've found it very tough to read the reports. God bless their little souls, and those wonderful teachers that tried to protect them

Agreed. I was talking with dad last night, and we both agreed, it sucks anymore. It's been all so commercialized, the whole point of Christmas has flown out the window. For me it's more about spending time with family I don't see all the time (though our family gets together much more than most) and having a good time, not what did people buy for me.

Good movie. It's actually a trilogy. The 3rd one wasn't as good as the first two IMO.

Turn off the news and get some rest. The combination of atrocity and the holidays can mess up your head. Feel better bud.

Answered, with a second rifle still in the car.

What? With all this scintillating conversation. Now tell me again, what did you have for dinner? LOL

Yep, a trilogy. Apparently a 4th one is in the works starring the guy that played Bane in the latest Batman
