Seems like she's chokin' on flem. Prob won't make it through the night. Came on just this afternoon. She had green flem coming out her nostrils and as she would try to breathe and cough she actually threw up a couple of times. Never seen a horse do that. If its pneumonia then its prob coming from her lungs, but she actually threw up.
She then went over and laid down and I thought oh man here we go. But she seemed to get some of it swallowed and she stood up again.
So I brought her a pan of water and she rinsed her lips like she's getting ready to drink and then suddenly threw up in the pan - and dang near on me.
If she makes it through the night I'll go into town and get some penicillin. If it is pneumonia that may help her. But I'm thinking maybe its more like cancer eating up her organs. Its hard to keep weight on a 30 yr old horse as it is, and so her flanks are kind of sunken in. But I figured that's because she's lost some teeth. So I've been giving her a pellet type feed every day for months now and she's maintained her weight, though still on the thin side.
Haven't had a horse die since 01.
Sorry to hear it

It's like a sponge. The more water is has in it the heavier it is, which sucks when you're trying to shovel.

LOL, I just saw this in someone's sig...

This is a message forum, not a cell phone. Feel free to use complete sentences and whole words rather than come off like a 12 year old texting their friends.

I gotta use that on Facebook. My sister has this habit of writing messages in code. I'm always busting her for it. She does it on a forum she's on too and claims everyone does it.

No, she's already been able to do that for several years.

Seems a Texan fails to make a complete stop at a stop sign, and gets
pulled over by a local policeman. Guy hands the cop his driver's license,
insurance verification and vehicle registration, plus his concealed handgun
permit. "Okay, Mr. Thibodeaux," the cop says, "I see you have Concealed
Handgun Permit. Are you carrying today?"
"Yes, I am."
"Well then, better tell me what you got."
Thibodeaux says, "Well, I got a .40 caliber Glock on my right hip and a .357
magnum revolver in the glove box. And, I've got a .22 derringer in my right
boot."
"Okay," the cop says. "Anything else?"
"Yeah, back in the trunk, there's an AR15 rifle and a 12 gauge pump shotgun.
That's about it."
"Mr. Thibodaux, are you on your way to or from a gun range...?"
"Nope."
"Well then, what are you afraid of...?"
"Not a **** thing..."

anyone else getting irritated by these toyota commercials where they're asking people's suggestions on how they would use Toyota technology differently?

there's one on the ad bar at top about using a pri** solar panel to provide cooling for w/e.....um, last time I checked, toyota didnt invent solar panels? Seems like all of the commercials are like this.

And I see right through this new complimentary service program they've got now. It's not 2 years of free service, it's a way for them to cover their asses, in case of some new recall. They won't have to publish it publicly, just tell their mechanics to fix stuff when the cars come in. It's rather brilliant, actually.
