It's funny how the health care industry can convince people that Obama care is bad for us when it's really only bad for them.

How is it bad for them? Aren't you now paying them an extra $300 bucks??

They get millions of (unConstitutional forced) new customers yet Obama allowed them & insurers & big pharma to all keep their price fixing monopolies. And nothing was done in regards to tort reform to bring physicians and healthcare facilities malpractice insurance rates back down to earth.

Obamasham!

The only way to fix the problem is thru fierce competition. Like US Telecom and other industries have proven time and time again. Instead we got government takeover that will insure there WON'T be any competition.

I can't debate this with you since I don't follow it.

Yeah, i'm paying $300 more, but yet the riff raff here are on welfare are getting it for free and driving around in Escalades.

I need to change my name, speak broken english even though i was born here and grab me some government handouts.

You ain't kidding. But you also need to have like 7 kids so you can get a payout for each one of them.

Its a good program for those who truly need it but its so easy to take advantage of it that it makes it a horrible program.

For many years I was in the investment & insurance industry back in the 80's. We were an upstart that had a much better idea for consumers. But it undercut the rest of the industry status quo and wrecked their renewal fortunes they had built by robbing the consumer with gibberish and fine print.
While we did clobber the industry in the end, their monopolistic attitudes and practices are entrenched and protected by jerks in government. Rather than compete, they just wanted to attack and undermine our company. It really was us v them, David v Goliath. In spite of their tactics, we beat their brains out in the end.

Ever wonder why mutual funds (now ETF's) are so common place now? We played a huge role in that. They've been around since 1924 but the average Joe didn't know and instead bought/were sold outrageous rip off insurance policies where they couldn't understand the fine print. We explained it to the customers. We persevered, conquered, and they finally had to compete or continue to bleed customers. Mutual fund assets exploded starting in the 80's.

Unleash full on competition (within appropriate and necessary guidelines for consumer protection) and watch what will happen in the healthcare field and insurance rates.

Years ago I set up a debt tracking/networth spreadsheet in excel. I run it every month but the end of the year is the big one for the 'scoreboard' where capital adjustments are made for real estate and auto's.
I am pleased to report that the KBB (Retail) price on my Bullitt only dropped $30 this year to $25,570.

I got a couple of slices of chocolate cake at a bakery yesterday, and it is out of this world.

Hard to tell from the pic, but it is huge (thats what she said, ) That's a full size to go plate.

I wish I could have some milk with it. I love milk, but I think I'm becoming lactose intolerant with old age. A big glass of milk or bowl of ice cream will have me on the ****ter 6 or 7 times the next day with "explosive" results. Usually within an hour or two.

LOL, I have one of those too. But its attached to someone else. Too bad. If I had it I'd never get anything done, I'd be sitting around playing with it all day.
