Had some little weasel in a geo tracker try to beat me at a stop light. He kept revving at me like a moron. Roads are slushy and wet but no way I'm letting him ahead of me to slop up my car. Light turns green I have close to no traction and I still make it out ahead of him. Only took like 1/4 throttle.

On a follow up: I checked the scratch in the new hood. The stripes won't cover. It is at least 4" outside of the edge of the stripe. Oh well. I really didn't want so put stripes on a new but scratched hood anyways. Plus I need the bottom side painted anyway. I'm gonna take it to a local shop and have it done right.
Ouch It'll be better that way in the end, you can get a better color match and possibly better paint quality too

So I'm finally getting around to my leveling kit. I found a place on Ebay that sells 2 inch coil spacers, which is what I'm going to use. $55-$56 shipped, with the stud extender also. If all goes well I'm gonna order on wednesday night

Here's the link, what do you guys think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981-...a62093560#shId

Ended up with just under a foot of this ****. Good news is they managed to make a pass with the plow on the main road, bad news is that its already back down in the 20's and it froze over, making it worse than the county roads that haven't been touched at all.

Just make sure it is a quality & safely built kit Sean, last thing you want to do when it come to suspension or brakes is go cheap. Your are better saving and buying a kit from well known quality vendor.

For example: Rough Country suggests you replace the springs...

My plan here in the future is actually to replace stock springs with level springs and keep a spacer on top of those, and get some real deep dish wheels that'll stick out good, I'm goin' for the pre-runner look. That'd be 3.5 inches of front lift and none in the rear, leaving the inch about .5-1.0 taller than the rear(on old leaf springs, so perfect level if I get to replacing those).

I've got a couple days to look into the quality in depth, thanks for the suggestion!

I have heard of a merganser setting the speed record while being chased by an airplane. It was clocked doing 100 m.p.h. Shattering the previous record set by a canvasback going 72 m.p.h.

Bird max. recorded speed (mph)
1. Spine-tailed swift 106
2. Frigate bird 95
3. Spur-winged goose 88
4. Red-breasted merganser 80 (now #2 @ 100)
5. White-rumped swift 77
6. Canvasback duck 72
7. Eider duck 70
8. Teal 68
=9. Mallard 65
=9. Pintail 65

The maximum speed of a tiger?
28 mph over optimum terrain.

we got about 2" of snow with about an inch of ice with it. Got iced in at my in-laws, came home about 5 today right before dark. gave it all day for the roads to thaw, then tonight they are going to freeze again.

That ice sucks, ours was all snow, but the roads are turning to ice now. The power started going off and on about 5 this morning though and I was holding my breath every time waiting for it to kick back in. We already had about 10 inches at that time.

gotta be honest, that was a terrible championship game. Oregon's offensive coordinator needs some help bad, he had no clue wtf he was doing. they were getting nothing on the run, and he still tried it 4 consec. times from 2 yds... ididot. I dont like either team, but it would have been nice to see a decent game.

all our snow is now ice, I can't even walk through the yard without slipping on the iced over snow

I think it was a great game. They both have very explosive offenses, but it ended up being a total defensive battle. The coaches did their homework and shut down the key players on both sides.

Oregon however failde hard in the red zone.

all in all though, War Eagle baby!

The storm hits us tonight and all day tomorrow. It's merging with another storm heading this way. So far they are calling for 10-14 inches with some areas possibly getting more.

Uggh.

We are getting really lucky again! I'm right on the line of where they are expecting only 1-3 or 3-5 inches. The northeastern part of MD and up the 95 corridor from there are expecting much more, but I'm not anywhere near there

Don't get too excited til it's over with.

We've gotten a few inches yesterday and today. Enough to make driving a pain but better than what some of you have been getting.
