No idea on tires other than they will be 245/45/17's all around.

What about Nitto's?

Or maybe some Goodyear Eagles?

You gotta figure these tires are gonna be on this car for about 10-20 years with the mileage I'll put on it.

Thanks for the idea, but I'm pretty sure I cashed in that coupon a few months back....... unless there is a "He just took me to Taco Bell" coupon

No. That coupon is no good. It involves too many trips to the toilet.

This was not my usual driver.

So I am still waiting on the Cobra 10th wheels, the front brake parts and the headers and mid-pipe.

When you gonna put the headers on? When you do the tranny?

Don't tires go bad after a while, regardless of wear?

I don't do trannies.

Well I'm waiting on the headers to get jet coated. Has anyone ever seen the stock exhaust manifolds on the 5.0. Those things are tiny.

I'll put the headers on when they come in. And the transmission I need to save up for. It's gonna be about a month.

They can, from dry rotting, flat spotting, etc.

I think in the 50's or 60's they would, but nowadays it's not the case. You just gotta take care of them.

Have fun getting those manifold bolts off.

You said it! It looks really rusty in there. Spark plugs too. Which is better PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench?

Never used Nitto's before. I'm quite impressed with the F1's on the GT500 rims, I think the ride & handling is pretty impressive and in the lighter LX it should be even better.

When I first got my 96 SHO it had Dayton Daytona ZR's on it. They were great but i dunno if they make them anymore or if Dayton still exists. i replaced them with Toyo proxes FZ4's and liked those a lot too. Both were great all season tires for up here in the snowy states but down there you can go HP summer as long as they can handle a lil rain.

I don't think I could get the ones off on my 2.3. They'd have to be cut or something...

I don't know, I just use WD40 and a careful wrench or socket. I know people that swear by PB Blaster though, for whatever that's worth.

Yup.

I meant to say the Goodyear Eagle F1's. Car won't be driven in the rain. So I can go summer performance tires all the way.

That's what I'm hoping Gary doesn't run into. Otherwise, he may as well buy replacement heads now.

So when I get pissed from busting my knuckles I can just go ahead and replace the heads.
