How does a person 'tune' these cars. With the '07 you use a handheld tuner and such to adjust the ECM. The '91 still has a ECM, though I'm guessing its much less advanced. I don't see 'tuners' for these cars. Obviously they don't have the OBDII port. That didn't come about till '96 I think. So the ECM is set and there is no changing it. All you can do is adjust throttle linkage, injector size, intake size, and timing, etc.? These cars are only mechanically tuned?
I dont think there are any handheld tuners around for these cars, your best bet is probably a custom dyno tune

If I'm planning on breathing with LT's and heads then why would 70 be too much for the throttle body?

Why have a 73mm MAF housing and a 65mm throttle? I'm really asking? You got to understand I'm used to the '07 and this is like learning all over again. I know my Mustang has like a 90mm MAF housing now, though I do have the stock throttle body so its like 63mm or do I think. and with 11 lbs. of boost the 90 is almost too much.

So I guess its kind of the same thing then.

you will have to get the car to a dyno and they can burn a chip to plug into the j-prom port on the ECM

I measured mine when I first changed it with a set of calipers, and it was like 69.7 or somewhere but it was very close to 70

Gary maybe I missed it as I don't read all the pages anymore, but if you're going to do a HCI swap, then do a matched system like from Holley or Edelbrock. AFR heads, E cam, etc are great choices but you could get a complete, engineered package and be good to go.

I remember that. Test actually went pretty well. There were a few questions I had no idea on, and several that were super easy. I'll see how I did sometime soon I guess.

David-

I thought you'd appreciate that I saw an Aston Martin today. Though I don't know what year or model. to be honest they all look alike to me. But the license plate said WOLFPK. I thought you'd like that. No pics sorry. I was walking into the office supply store and to whip out the iphone as the guy drove by to take a pic would be hugely gay.

My dad's seats all the way down aren't far enough for me, the truck is totally different though haha.

I wanna try this, that's pretty awesome sounding

I got the fender style one. It sucked because I had to take the passenger front wheel off and move the wheel well liner out of the way to get up in there to tighten the filter on. It looks so much better in the car. It's shiny for sure.

While I was in there I thoroughly cleaned the throttle body. It was dirty as f***. And I cleaned the MAF housing and I adjusted the TV cable on the throttle body. Then I also did a Sea Foam cleaning in the intake for the injectors.

Impressions...car continues to run better and better. It never ran bad. But it runs **** good for a stock Mustang from 1991.

I also put some Sea Foam in the intake and did that cleaning,
Seafoam in the intake cleaning the fuel injectors? I don't understand

My truck had a super smooth idle after I just changed the oil and fluids, and it's now gotten just a teensy bit rougher. Now the truck shakes a little bit like she should

Also, today I washed and waxed the truck at my friends house, then ran to mcdonalds, to celebrate a job well done. He drives an '08 VW Rabbit, and it's got some nice pickup! ****! We hit 100 with plenty of power to spare. Most fun I've had since the week before school started! Now the trucks nice and shiny and smooth

I figured out why my references sounded like crap. I had my tweeters set to 0dB instead of -3dB.

Way to go

I've never had a HU that gave me those options. Just a default of bass of 0, then you can put it up to 10
