I just bought a V6 Premium, Lava Red inside and out, Pony package. Silver stripe. The GT was just a bit out of my price range at the moment. Its being brought in from a dealer a million miles away. I'm so excited I can hardly sit still. Should have it next week they told me. How will I ever sleep?

Anyway - I just wanted to say hi, and thanks for all of the pics of the lava red above. Seeing that beautiful color, I had to have one. Add me to the Lava Red fan club!

 

The pics don't even begin to do the color justice... it's just so awesome. Lotta work to keep it clean but it's a labor of love. :-)

What part of Michigan are you in?

 

I live in Saint Clair Shores, and work in Taylor. And usually try to spend my weekends on Woodward Ave.

 

Here are the latest pics with tint.... overcast day so not big fireburst of red but you get the point. :-) Better pics when better weather......

 

I live in Royal Oak, just a couple blocks off Woodward; I'm out there all the time. We should meet up and get some pics of our cars together.

The rest of the weekend was spent driving.

 

Looks sooo nice with the Brembo wheels. My favorite thing about Lava is that on overcast days it just looks black. That's not a bad trade off. Then when the sun comes out. BAM!!! Take that eyeballs!! :-)

 

Here's my new Lava Red V6 - Silver Satin stripe. Planning on tinting windows soon as I find somewhere reputable to get it done here in town. Excuse the blazing full sun in the pics, it was right about noon when I drove it home.. hehe





These are just quick snaps. I'll do some "real pics" once its tinted and I've had time to do the detailing I want to do with it.. give me a week or two

I would still love to see someone do a "Ghost" flames paint scheme on the Lava Red. It would look SO killer!

I love this color but the swirls kill me. :-(

 

Yeah, yesterday, I was getting a little bummed myself at how high-maintenance it is, but then I washed it and windex'd the windows, and was back to happy. I kinda rushed my first wax job on it, and it looks like it too (swirls).

 

I was out cruising with my son tonight, and we stopped to chat with a few other Mustang owners.
