I'm at 3 weeks and already have a few small stone chips
But Real Street Machines have Stone Chips.

As far as swirls though I have None as I've never used anything but Microfiber towels on the paint and windows. Also new paint takes a couple months to fully cure as it can sometimes take that long for the Reducer to come out of the paint. My first Wax will be the Weekend before the Woodward Dream Cruise. Until then Wash, Dry and Mequiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer only.

 

I have used nothing but top notch micro fibers and products on this car and I still have swirls. Didn't know about the paint curing though. :-(

I was hot for the Lava red but after seeing it in person did not care for it. My black with saddle interior GT premium coupe rolled off the trailer yesterday and I will be picking it up tomorrow.

 

By the way I have a 66 Galaxie 500 XL in the dark ivy green that I bought new. Sure wish that color was available on the Mustang. Yes I am old but still love those great Fords.

That is just LUSH. Makes me fall in love with Lava again. If only it looked like this in ALL lighting conditions....

 

They sound GLORIOUS.

Have you put them on yet? I did, was a total pain in the *** but worth it.

The clamps are tack welded to the mufflers, so cut that before you loosen the clamp up. Also, you might want to drop the rear sway bar as that will make it a LOT easier to wrangle the mufflers off the hangers.

 

Yeah, they sound fantastic! Only took about a half hour to throw 'em on. I sprayed a little PB Blaster on the hanger rods before trying to remove the stockers and they slipped right off. I also pulled the black hanger brackets and slid them on the Borlas, then bolted them back up with the new hangers slipped through them, which saved a bunch of wrestling with it. Since the Borlas are short, there was plenty of room to do it that way.

 

I think the fact that the car looks different in different light is one of the things that I like most about it. Looks AWESOME in full son but sexy as hell in the dark, etc.

The only time I don't like it is when it's dirty.... Makes me sad. :-)

Cool :-). In the top pic I posted above, that's a black '10 GT parked next to me; it just doesn't compare to the lava glow and depth, and I really like black cars.
