The Boss is Back! 2012 Boss 302
This is true. There are about 120,000 cars that are considered 64.5 because of production distinctions... 260 V8, lower compression D code 289 (rather than the A or C code 289's in the balance of 1965 production), 170cid 6, generator rather than an alternator, I think maybe some trim pieces may have changed a little.
Yup, yup and yup!
Per the 'timeline' that came out with the Boss intro:
1964 – Mustang debuts; serves as Indy 500 pace car;
appears in James Bond movie “Goldfinger.
2009 – Glass roof option offered; 2010 Mustang unveiled;
Mustang’s 45th anniversary celebrated
This would lead me to believe that 2014 is going to be their epic 50th model.

You need 18 people not 17 telling you otherwise ..hahah
I guess they can wait all they want on the 2014 50th annivesary.
They'll be hard to find though....

Black (or dark) rims go with just about any color, imo.
Yep, two out back and two in front of the rear wheels. Personally, I wish the side exhausts were a little more visible, but that's just me.

You have to realize Fords utter brilliance in this. They will expound upon options and colors as with every special edition before it. Then in say 2013 they can offer the car in the 1970 stripe scheme in some Grabber colors and the car will seem brand new again. I don't see this S.E. going away till the next body style.
2004 Mustang is sold and branded as the 40th anniversary mustang...this is why I believe people are saying 2014 as the 50th. So you all are saying that the 2015 is going to be the 50th? I don't think people are being hardhead just stating what has been done in the past.
Have I read correctly that there will be no back seat? I think this a great looking car. The only thing that would hold me back from buying this one, besides possible dealer gouging, is the color options or the lack there of. I understand where they were going with the colors, but I would like to see a black or sterling silver in the mix. Is there a possibility of a 2013 production run where they might add these colors?
You can believe what you want about when the anniversary model will be out. I guess we will just have to wait and see. But if you are correct, I will buy you the whole internet.
I wouldn't really consider that an attitude, I have put the timeline in simple terms but no one wants to believe it. Forget everything about past anniversaries, the 50th is a very big deal in automobile terms. I wish I could go into more detail but I cannot. I am done arguing about this subject, I'll just keep everything to myself from now on.
Thanks! It seems pretty mild mannered at idle. The CO doing the driveby sounds pretty phenomenal.
