If you guys are right this car looks like it will be worse not better than the '10-'12. These guys are designing the '15. Yikes.

 

I agree. Glad I have a 12 coming.

 

I feel good about the improvements to the rear but overall, I kinda agree. This refresh seems "ho-hum" at best, and a few steps backwards from the 2010-2012 at worst. I knew this would likely be a mild refresh but I still have to wonder why they're bothering at all if they weren't going to put any more effort into it.

I'm hoping when I see the official unveiling with the car in finished trim, my opinion will change.

It's a refresh. Ford has addressed the rear end and the black plastic. The new headlights look pretty cool. The new front fascia looks good, too, and with the exception of a few people, the GT500's nose cone wasn't really complained about that much (at least when compared to the rear end). I'm not particularly a fan of the GT500 nose cone, but I don't think its inclusion will make the car look "worse," especially with the aforementioned rear end fix and the elimination of the often-complained-about black plastic. I'm actually surprised Ford went this far with a freshening.

In regards to the 2015, from what I understand, Ford has a whole bunch of people from around the globe working on it. I don't think they'll screw it up; Ford knows as well as anyone how much is riding on that car!

 

Nice work unnoticedtrails. I like the image. Put a little flame after the front wheel wells and put some pinstripe on the front and that Mustang will be a real hotrod.

 

What's the terms then?

Luke, nice work on the chop. What's the deal with the hood though? Miss a spot? Also, I don't expect there to be the Porsche/Audi lights in the bumper like you have them. Just looks tacked on and out of place IMO.

 

based on the spy shots so far, I will say that the new front bumper seems not match the new nose, but I do like new headlight.

 

The Taurus already has a light strip in the bumper.. it's a solid light bar though not separate LED's like the Audi

 

I bet they put it on the V6. Just a hunch.

 

Thanks Steve, I see some sort of scoop there in all the spyshots...I just guessed.
As far as the LED strips, I thought someone already confirmed that they were going to be used on the Mustang.

 

I think we would have spotted them in the last batch of spy shots. I think the LEDs they were referring to are the ones in the headlamp themselves.

 

Good work, Luke. I agree though, I suspect the only DRLs will be the one's already in the headlights, which is much neater and more integrated than the Taurus ones

 

Thanks Paul. The thing that makes me think they'll be there is the little cut outs below the scoops in the spyshots...but we'll just have to see.

 

I hadn't paid too much attention to those little cutouts, Luke. You could be right, or they could be just another lower grille.....although they are a little narrow for that. Not long now, and we'll know for sure
