I've read the thread from the beginning. How do we know the first car is even a GT? I might be missing something, but why can't it be a GT500?
It seems that there are no major mechanical changes to the GT. Why make huge changes to it when there's a complete makeover coming shortly thereafter. If there aren't large changes, there won't be mules out.
The GT500 is getting a mechanical change for 2013. I'd expect to see more mules out for it.

Just because they aren't seen, doesn't mean they don't exist. After all, proving grounds are there for a reason.
Ford is pretty savvy when it comes to allowing covered vehicles out. I'm sure people are informed of what NOT to do with them when they are on public streets. Doesn't mean it can't happen.
We're a little over a month away, it'll all become clear then.

I kinda like the new white, but those wheels are soooo played out.

That would be the icing on the cake..................or rather the icing on the Mustang 
It does look like a Mustang under there, but I wouldn't get too excited, as I doubt very much if that's a '13 MY under there.
