2013 MY refresh
Boy am I glad that I took delivery of my 12 Stang! I believe that this is going to be the last great retro Stang. I am completely satisfied with the current front and rear of the vehicle. I can't tell everyone how many compliments I have received. I almost held out for the 13 and am glad I didn't... Plus I ordered and purchased it at invoice and they took off $2,250 in rebates on top of that. Loaded with almost everything including the electronics package I paid just $33,000 and change on a retail price of $39,195.
For the spy shots has anyone considered the fact that the gt500 nose may not actually be the final nose? If they are going to such trouble to keep the tail lights hidden, why would they put something so obvious on the front? Throwing on a different hood and fascia could be done at the last minute and surprise everyone.

Luke, nice work on the chop. What's the deal with the hood though? Miss a spot? Also, I don't expect there to be the Porsche/Audi lights in the bumper like you have them. Just looks tacked on and out of place IMO.
More pronounced step in the splitter towards the center of the car
body color lower rear valence
In the middle pic it looks like the tail panel around the faux gas cap is curved left to right was well as top to bottom.

Yeah, it looks kinda like the rear panel is concave horizontally and vertically.
Something I just thought of concerning the use of the Shelby GT500 style nose and hood... European market cars require higher hoods and noses for pedestrian safety. Since I speculated earlier that the Mustang is preparing for European sales, the new higher nose and taller hood would go along with plans to certify vehicles for sale in Europe... Also, the Camaro is entering the European market with specific Euro spec parts. Since this is a two-year running facelift, I am sure parts for NA spec and Euro spec Mustangs are being commonized as much as possible to keep costs down.

I would imagine the Chevrolet will sell miniscule numbers of Camaros over here. In fact, the number of personal imports will probably out number the "official" cars. Makes you wonder why they'd bother.
However, that's me wandering off-topic!
10 days n counting
Not all countries are like this btw (in Germany for example this new car tax doesn't exist, and in the UK it's only marginal) but many countries do impose CO2 based taxing now. The only Stang that will make any sense here sales wise is a low emissions turbo 4 banger and that is exactly why Ford is developing one for 2015.
