Same thing I've noticed. The 2 dimensional pics don't capture the angles you see in person, especially the forward slant at the top of the housings, and the way they angle back from inside to outside. I think they look very menacing in person, almost pissed off on the GT500, like it might eat a small child if you left them alone together.

I never really liked the current HIDs with the GT fascia, but with the V6 and GT500 fascias they were okay. I think Ford knows the retro-enthusiasts don't care for the HIDs, but this is part of the plan to wane you all off the retro styling and move on. Make the more modern looking (and technology wise) HIDs standard and it takes away from the retro look. It will prepare us for an even more modern look on the 2015...

Any one know what colors are going to be available on the 13'? Grabber blue in particular!

The only colors we know won't be back for '13 are Kona blue and lava red.

I wonder if there will be any changes to the seat design or interior colors? maybe mix up the 401A package change the white stripe or something?

Both colors were on the chopping block after the Japan disaster, but leveled out for the remainder of the year. I swear this was confirmed somewhere else as well.

Also, Yellow Blaze had a limited run. It was stopped informally for no reason (poor sales is the leading theory).

I read they had ongoing problems matching the paint of the doors to the bodies as they are painted separately.

The 2013 Flex comes in 3 new colors...
Ruby Red, Deep Impact Blue and Kodiak Brown

Ruby Red is on the 2013 SHO in pictures...Maybe it will replace Red Candy.

Also Brown on a Mustang anybody

CI = GRABBER BLUE
HD = GOTTA HAVE IT GREEN

The '13 Mustang order banks show the same exact interior codes on the 401A Equipment Group as '12 (same is true of the 402A California Special).

What's different on the '13 V6 & GT interior is the option for Recaro seats (option code UW for base V6/GT models and option code SW for premium V6/GT models). Both are noted as dark charcoal in the order banks...
