Retrofitting the 4.2 LCD Track Apps cluster
‘13/‘14 Dash Harness works
All,
Just a heads up for those still doing this to their cars - I added the ‘13/‘14 cluster to my ‘11, PATS relearn, new steering wheel button, wiring, all that and it worked great for a bit. Fast forward a year and I am forced to move to Las Vegas in the summer. Button slowly stops working, thought it probably melted but no, everything looked fine. Fast forward another year, and many, many times redoing the wiring and I just cannot for the life of me get it to work again and I don’t know why. A week ago I finally just said f*ck it, bought a ‘14 wheel off of eBay and ripped the harness out and installed in my Boss 302 wheel, bought a new ‘14 Main Dash Harness (same features for my ‘11 when I did the Nav install…but ‘14) and was resigned to “if this doesn’t work, guess I’m getting a new pony a year earlier than I wanted.”
It works. Obviously a few things won’t like sound from the radio - easy solve since that’s just needing a ‘13/‘14 ACM with the amp built in. The connectors to the driver’s kick panel amps aren’t the same, and the OBDII port doesn’t click into place…all of these things really easy, minor fixes. But a solid, easy fix that does not require wiring for electrically-challenged folks like myself. Button and cluster are working well and I finally am not wanting to take a sledgehammer to them!

Another issue I came across when installing 2013 premium cluster into 2010 premium car is that I have OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message every time I start the car. Oil life reset doesn't help.
The thing is that I did not put any additional wires from light switch to cluster (C220), I have connected light switch directly to clockspring switch on the wheel from the cluster side. Can it be the reason? Please help
Cruise control does not work also.
Oil change required annoying message
