current update: radio is pulled out and shipped back. they agreed to pay shipping both ways despite their policy that buyer pays return shipping and promised that the replacement will fix my "popping noise" and wifi connection. The techs have told me that they have a wifi dongle they can add that may fix the issuee...?

So my experience so far with the ottonavi is ...... "Its better then a stock Shaker 500 system"

It is nice to have a stock looking Navi in your car especially mine as I have a convertible and dont want people trying to break into my car to steal it.

Pros:

*Can be customized to your liking
*Easy to install
*Looks Factory
*Android operating system whcih you can play with alot of widgets and programs

Cons
*Radio volume not in sync with other programs - can cause heart attacks
*sometimes the radio itself(not the speakers) can have some static noise. - Fixed with electrical tape over the radio adapter.
*EQ is terrible
*Disables the stock Shaker but it is ok for me as I am installingsome aftermarket subs and amp

Pics to come soon as I can figure out how to post them properly

I applaud all of your guys work so far. Maybe in the future if Otto gets their stuff together I might get one. Hope you guys get all your issues resolved!

As I said the hardware is solid. Its the software implementation is the issue.

updated otto-navi

So I've been looking on their site after trying to find a good setup to go with and after reading this thread I found out they updated their software to 4.1 and say they've worked out the kinks. Has anyone tried them since their update?

the ottonavi unit we were all looking for was the one that looks identical to the factory navigation.

They no longer sell the one we wanted due to all the problems it had.

you can still find it on their page if you search google for it but its not actually available for purchase.

It would have been a great option for base radio mustang owners

I installed the Otto Navi in my 2014 stang. It has a great stock look and it also has solid wire set up. The only issues i had with it is that the steering wheel controls dont really line up. Im still working that but hope to have that fixed soon. I wish the manual showed all the functions and also how to use the satt protion being that when you dig into the radio settings it shows XM and Satt and you can bring up the icons for them but no way to use it. So after using it for over a month i think it was a good upgrade from the base radio. The bluetooth works great and everything so far apart from the steering wheel control is on point.
