Go to the distributor tab. You will see we what R&D Distributors in Michigan. Give them a call and they can direct you to a dealer. Or, if you wait a little while, Crutchfield will have in stock. You can call them and see if you can pre-order.

Cheers,

I believe boost will show (if your turbo is factory, not add-on). We can't be sure until someone confirms, but it does show in the ECO-Boost F150s...

I’m a total nub at stereo upgrades. I’ve been focusing on power mods but this winter I want to upgrade the radio and speakers. In the picture above I see the screen has gauges on them, is this done via a link to the OBDII or by another fashion. Or will that only work on 2013 models? How complicated would this install be?

The gauges are configurable in the radio, and info is obtained via interface with OBDII. Check out this thread here and here, and video here. It should work on most modern vehicles with OBDII, provided the information is available.

Probably a stupid question, but do these kits only work with Kenwood units? I was tooling around on the site and it looked like some of the Pioneer headunits might work

I havent seen any pioneers that work. I have never been a pioneer fan and never will be. the head units that kenwood produce are far superior in features in my opinion.

Whish there was a way it could work with the Alpine unit. The 8incher. That is not a bad H/U.

Though I do like the Kenwood offerings. I have used Kenwoods for a bit.

I have a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT unit in my Grand Marquis and am very satisfied with its looks, features, ergonomics, sound quality, power of the on board amp, and bang for the buck.

It would be a shame if this dash kit only works with the pricier Kenwood head units.

What is the suggested retail price of this unit? I did a quick search but didn't find it. Looks like there is a dealer I can contact not too far away from me that I will check out.

Well I-datalink/Kenwood/Ford Sync linked up to do the system they have. You could probably use the face-plate for the placement but the extra features would not work. That being the climate/havoc controls, and probably the OBDII data.

Crutchfield usually churns out great deals as they offer the face-plates and other accessories at half off when you buy the H/U from them. Also they offer scratch n dent as well as refurbish that has full factory warranties.

Crutchfield is now offering the I-Datalink face plate, MUS1 is the number. It may not yet show on the web site because I was told it was not updated yet. I called in for my inquiry for my order.

If you buy a H/U they will have it half off like the web site offers.

It's not visible to us yet unless you call them and they will put it your cart and then email you the cart with it showing in there. I'm guessing they will have it loaded on their site within a few days but they do have it avail to purchase with a phone call. Should be here wed-thursday so I have a project comming up next weekend. Putting in the DNN770HD and a back up cam to go with it. Will post photos/vid after install.

How's the kit performing for you with the Maestro interface and sync?

Are the "function" buttons below the sync screen working well and the Kenwwod unit responding ok?

Are you having any other problems besides the slow boot with the Kenwood deck?

Not being insulting but I'm sure you've downloaded the latest firmware update from Kenwood? I believe it's at 1.3.

I've done a lot of research on them (online) and there is a common theme of them being slow to boot but other than that a few bad decks that needed returning Everyone else seems very happy with their performance/features. There's rumor of some folks working to "modify" the stock android based operating system just like "rooting" a phone so hopefully down the road we can get the play store and some ability to modify the os to speed up the booting.

So if I'm reading correctly the AC settings are controlled through the stereo with this...... Also I have just the base model 2012 mustang (no sync, no Nav, no steering wheel audio controls) and I'm wondering what harnesses I'm needing. I basically like the faceplate of the install kit. Only one I have found that lifts the h/u up away from the bottom of the dash. Can you point me in the right direction?

yes I have the latest firmware, the kit performs fine. I am confused on why my subs are working with bluetooth audio but work with usb, ipod, and cd.

I figured it would be nice controlling the AC on the screen but thats my main complaint. the kenwood has an up and down button for heat/ac

you cannot slide the button and to get from max heat to max ac you have to press it maybe 30 times or hold it for about 35+ seconds

I have about 3 grand worth of audio in the trunk and its having some problems so I am taking it in on thursday to get the buttons reprogrammed and have them make the sync function
