If you believe their advertising, the maestro interface will be cheaper than the alternatives, but without it actually being available, I'd take that with a grain of salt. I fully recommend the Metra 5826CH (with the climate touchscreen) I've got it hooked up with the Axxess FRST interface and a Pioneer AVIC X920BT and the Sync works great. Activating Sync mutes the radio, although that will require adding a wire to the RCA harness if you intend to do the e-brake bypass

I currently have the Metra 5826C with the iDataLink Maestro. Maestro gives me Sync as well as the gauges via OBDII, as well as all steering wheel features. eBrake bypass on the Kenwood is simple - Green wire to ground. That's it. No extra part needed.

AVIC requires moving the Mute wire over one slot, so you've gotta add a wire if you wanna have mute and bypass on the X920BT. Not sure if its the same for all AVIC X models, but definitely didn't mean to imply the same applies to all HUs

The only problem with that kit is that it places the radio to low imo.......Like right in front of the shifter. The reason I wanted to go with I-Data links vaporware is because it would have placed the H/U upwards were it should be.
Starting to wonder how I-data link stay in bossiness with their poor communication and just not being able to deliver on products...

yeah this is a punishing wait for sure. Scosche has theirs in stock now, i was just hoping to get the mid mount especially since mine is an automatic. i dont even know how you can see the screen with the car in park with a bottom mount.

But I feel your pain - I've been waiting for that kit since I started my install. I need to get behind the dash and fix a ground to the head unit (I've got a high-pitched whine coming from a ground loop, I'm pretty sure...), but don't want to mess with it until the new kit comes in....

I'm not optimistic - Canadian company, shipping from Alaska for a Chinese-made product going to an audio shop in Missouri...Please post pics when you get it.
Considering there's not a single word from iDataLink about it having been released, I remain skeptical.
