I never put my VIN into the cluster.
But yes, with my as build, no steering feel, no Track Apps, no Gauges.

I am thinking of what to do with putting my second cluster into my 05. If I flash it with a 2010 VIN, then I hopefully don't need the black box for anything.

The wiring is quite different, but I have it somewhat figured out. Hoping I can make it work.

Yes. Flash it with 2010 as build and you don't need a black box or similar, as all the additional functions are gone.

Good. I may still need some kind of box, though, for all the idiot lights.

Definetly need something for cruise control, though.

Hey guys I'm having a bit of an issue with IDS, the biggest one being I can't start module programming.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3KiZEV7M68

I am running Windows 7 64 bit with IE 11 installed. I have IDS set to run as Admin whenever I start the program.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and got the same results.

Any ideas?

I tried that last night and it did not work.

I am reinstalling windows on the laptop and trying to start fresh. I will see if that takes care of it.

Also I figured out the DVD I got had V81 on it and the CD has V86. This time I won't touch the DVD lol.

Throw the DVD in the garbage ..that is only for European users and cars.

Matt's fix has to be run in Administator mode on WIndows 7 ... Right CLICK on the application he sent you and select run as Administrator.

No I ended up leaving the switch on the car. I didn't actually plan on getting rid of it but I got a good deal so I didn't have time to remove it and some other mods I did. All I have is the cluster

EPAS harness extracted. Now I need to wire up HS CAN and Fuse 47 and the dry run can start.

Ok did it.. EPAS test run..

Outside of the car, just wired up... I now see, once i have changed the steering feel, the little steering wheel on the bottom right of the cluster changing.... without it was always standard. Now i have a C for comfort or a S for sport in there. However, if i restart the car, it always goes in comfort....

I attached the VCM to read errors (had to go in with a 2011+ PCM code):

One DTC, not really surprising... Cannot establish communication with ABS module.

But i don't get any error like Steering fault or similar. I assume this comes, as the ABS module in 2011+ cars use the steering position sensor of the EPAS, while mine has an external.

If i would have had my 2013 ABS module, i would have tried that one. I guess, once Matt is back online, i can try it

Not too bad... but i am still not sure if I should put it in yet, as i have no idea what the DTC will do with daily driving...

You have gt500 cluster? I don't recall ever seeing that steering wheel graphic. All the money you've spent on this project you should have just got a 2014.

It wasn't that much.. $400 for the cluster, $75 for the bb, $25 for the switch, $100 for the EPAS harness and $390 for the EPAS rack.
I don't count the VCM, as that is universally used
A 2014 would run me much more, and then I have to spend the money again to mod it. Nono...
A 2014 GT500 would be a different story ... However I am lacking some $$ for that currently..
So I just keep modding mine. And it is faster than a 5.0, so I would need to spend $$$$ there, too.

I hear yah. I've said before I regret trading my 2010 for the 2012. Not only was it faster but it would have been paid off by now.

Yup. That one, too. It is almost paid off ...

I added too much I would need to re-add to a 2014... And basically it is the same car.
Well and if you see may back dissapear ... you don't even know it's not a 2013/14 ...

Hey guys guess what?

BOOM Confetti!

Thanks to BlueEyedSnake for all his help yesterday and to the rest of you for putting in so much work for making this possible!

I only have two issues at this point. First, the only gauges that work are the Oil Pressure (Normal) and Voltage. No other gauges work as of right now. Second, my cruise control is not working. Sal and I used a VIN from a 2014 (because t was the closest one to my car we could find) and everything else seems to be working perfectly.

The only hard DTC right now is the Parking COntrol Module, but I have a Shelby cluster so I knew that I wouldn't be able to turn them off anyway (which I am ok with).

Matt, while I was putting my JLT CAI in, I broke both of the heads to the torx screws for the MAF sensor off in the CAI. I was able to get one screw out and had to drill out the other. Tapping in new threads will be in order before I can attempt to put the CAI back on. Sal recommended I keep an eye on the air/fuel mixture inside of IDS and everything seems to be within 1-5%, which he felt was fine.

Is there any way to move the redline up to 7k?

Thank you all again for getting this project up and running, this is so COOL!
