On a side note LEXiiON, we used your as built combination for the cluster and the snake is still there.
The as build won't change that.

I know this isn't axctly news for us here, but I thought I'd share.

http://www.svtperformance.com/?p=1279#more-1279

I did notice, however, that Launch Control was officially added for the GTs. Wonder what needs to happen to make this work for us?

I know that the Key is what effectively turns that tune on, but is there any way to figure out what the ASBUILT data for that is? Maybe if we snag that, we can try it to see if LC gets enabled for us!

ASBUILD won't do anything. You need the right PCM FW and the cluster has to support it. With a special key from ford, you may can make it work. Unfortunately, you can't flush the clusters FW, so you need those things done first.

Yes, Lexiion is correct. Ford dealership has to flash your PCM FW for the tune which includes the launch control, lopey idle, and pit idle speed limiter. You need the voucher in order to get the track cal/key firmware calibration. I purchased the new cluster for my 13 GT base, so I bought the track key. We'll see if it works when I have mine installed next week.

So this is where an oasis login would come in handy right? I think I'll just have two tunes on my SCT tuner and call it a day.
What if he PMI'S his PCM to a 2013 BOSS and gets the BOSS cluster?

Almost have all the stuff to do this swap. Waiting on my new shifter and I still have not ordered the ABS module control but I figure I can just add it later. There should be no problems since it will only enable the track apps, correct? For now, as long as all my gauges and stuff work I will be happy. Mycolor should work fine to, correct? I don't remember it being mentioned to much in this thread.
A couple questions I have....I have a 2013 gt500 cluster, should I change the as built to a GT or can I leave it as is and not have any issues? I talked to AED and he said he would send me an updated tune so I am going to go ahead and flash the PCM to a 2013. If I have to change the as built, is there instructions somewhere on how to do that? Also, instructions on how to reflash the PCM? I now know how to do the PATS part but have not used it enough to do the rest. Thanks.

I wrote the how to on this forum as far as what you need to do. 1. Track apps only work when the 2013 ABS module is installed. Gauges and cruise control will work as long as you flash the PCM to 2013. The as built in the cluster should be fine, but you can change it to what LEXiiON did (combined the top as built line go a GT and bottom line of a GT500) . It's a few pages back if you want it. Make sure AED knows that you will need the strategy for a 2013 PCM not 2012. My color will work on the cluster, but if your car isn't equipped with the LEDS on the floor boards or door stills, then no it won't work. 2. For the shifter, follow what Jim did and theres no telling how that will work with a GT500 cluster because GT500's are not offered in automatics.

When you are ready to put in the shifter, let me know and I can walk you through it. The biggest issue will be getting the pins. I had my dash harness from when I retrofitted to OEM nav, so I have that to cannibalize, but you will need to get yours from an electronics store or electronics repair shop.

Having issues flashing the PCM. IDS never gives me the option to download the file. I followed the steps above but it seems mine is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also not getting the module programming options. When I click it, it says "selection not available".

Got the flash working partially thanks to Sal. But we are now getting a screen asking for the "solenoid body strategy" and " solenoid body IDN". It will not let us skip it. Seems it has to do with the auto trans. Anyone know if that can be found without jacking up the car and looking on the trans? Thanks.

I did not have to do any of that. Only the strategy and the 2013 VIN.

What menus are you going through?

I followed BlueEyedSnake's instructions in the link above and he walked me through it on the phone last night. We did not change the VIN. So what strategy should I be using? I got a 2013 VIN to use but how do you get the strategy? Or do I still use my 2012 strategy?

I am hoping I will not have other issues now since the flashing was already started and I think it is already past the stage of erasing the PCM.

Ok. Changed the VIN to a 2013 and put DR3A-ND in the applicable areas. PCM is now flashed...woohoo. I started the car to make sure it would run and noticed that there is now a service advancetrack on the screen. Is this due to me not having the 2013 ABS module installed? I was under the assumption I could add it later as it just enabled the track apps?

Also, do you think it would be fine to go a head and put in my new tune to get the car running properly?

Good to go now...seems, I forgot to put the car back to stock. That is why I was getting that error. The tuner was still married to the other VIN. Flashed the car back to 2012 with my original VIN and along with a couple other steps, put car back to stock. Reflashed to 2013 and my new tune loaded just fine.

Still have the advancetrack error though, so I went a head and ordered the ABS module control.

Guys got my new cluster in and swapped out the ABS module. Hooked up the VCM to do PATS, PCM and As Built but IDS is saying "the unique PCM identifier is unrecognized". Asked for a vin# ive put in my vin and also a 2014 vin.. it goes as far to download the 2014 files but it just shows vehicle info of the vin number I entered bit I dont get the blue check mark to continue.. Any ideas? Oh and car is a 2012 Roush RS3.. Thanks!

Roush may use their own custom calibration codes that IDS does not recognize.

The other method of flashing the PCM is to leave the Key OFF .. let IDS attempt to identify the PCM. It will try multiple times .. you need to click multiple times as well to have IDS proceed. At some point IDS will say the PCM is blank .. you can then turn key on and and continue to Flash the PCM. I assume you already have a 2013/14 Roush SuperCharger Tune ready to load after you flash the PCM?

dhmines yes ive found you are right IDS does not recognize the roush PCM. I also tried multple times leaving the switch off until it says the pcm is blank then IDS goes to the internet and downloads the calibration files but they will not upload to the PCM. IT ends on a screen that shows basic vehicle information like
Vehicle: Mustang
Engine Type: TiVCT
Capacity: 5.0L
Transmission: Manual
Fuel Type: Gasoline
Emission level: 50 State Emmision
Odometer: 10029.4mile
Vin:IZVBP8XXXX
Thats where everything stalls. When im on this screen I have no blue check mark and everything stops.

Ive also downloaded the Roush diagnostic tool and the car hooks up and reads the PCM perfectly in this tool unfortunately you have to have a flash voucher and coupon code to actually flash any modules on the car.

Yes im aware that I need the 13/14 tune. Im not gonna start the car until I can get Lund to send me a Tune if im able to get this done... Thanks for you time.

Make sure when you installed IDS you indicated you are a dealer. I had issues flashing my PCM until I did that. Not sure if fluke or not.
