I already have a 2014 brembo base GT manual, so this should be a bit more simple for me I assume? Will I have the same cruise issues too like you guys? So far all I can tell is I would need a premium car ABS module(my base one wont work?), the 14 cluster obviously and the steering wheel controls. Aside from installing all that, the dealer should be able to get it all to work but they will need a Vin from a preimum 14 rather than my base 14?? Thats what Im understanding so far....

Keep up the great work guys. People have been wanting to do this type of swap for years.
For you, I think it is just plug and play. Not sure if you need the ABS module, but you will need the new cruise switch. Cruise should be fine.

You should be fine and plug and play ... check the part # on your ABS module to be sure.

Could you tell us what the part# and 4-DIGIT code is on your PCM/ECU ??? My guess is base/premium use the same ECU.

Another interesting TIDBIT. I have had a tune on my car that turned off SKIP-SHIFT. For those that don't know ... 2011 and 2012 Manual Shifter cars have a feature that forced you to shift from 1 to 4 during slow acceleration.

I put my car back to stock today so I could mess with the PCM. Driving tonight I noticed the Skip-Shift graphic come up. What is interesting about this is that the 2013 and 2014 cars do not have Skip Shift. But Ford must have considered it because the Graphic is obviously available in the 2013/14 Cluster.

Interesting. I wonder what other goodies are hidden in there.

Did you try putting in Shelby as built data?

I haven't yet .. but thats a great idea - should unlock the RED WHITE and BLUE color Scheme. Does 2013/2014 GT500's have the RED WHITE BLUE scheme like prior years?

I think the GT500 cluster has different firmware all together. (90% certain)

Yup .. just verified. I loaded 2014 Shelby AS-BUILT in cluster. No RED/WHITE/BLUE color scheme and no Boost Gauge. Oh well ... nice to have VCM and experiment. :

Jim .. since I knew GT500 don't have reverse sensors I knew that feature would be off in the cluster. However .. like yours the reverse sensors still work. I actually like it better without the screen popping up every time in reverse so I'm gonna just leave the GT500 as built in there.

What pops up in the LCD screen?

Also noticed that when I hold down the sync button on the wheel, the reverse camera comes on and stays on.

This pops up on LCD whenever you put car in reverse. Its actually better without it .. although I will no longer be able to turn it off without loading a different AS-BUILT but I don't care.

What SYNC button? The guy talking?

So it is the same screen, huh?

Yes, the guy talking. Mind you, right now my Sync is a little wonky. Long story short, when my sync goes out after trying to connect to USB, I tried holding down the talking guy button down to see what would happen. When ever I do that, the reverse camera comes on. I don't know if it did it before Sync had problems.

Its turned off by default. The PCM does support it though, and it can be turned on

Can't wait to play with my VCM.

Hey Ford! Since I know you are monitoring this thread, can you tell which finger I'm holding up?

Considering that I use Sync to access music from my Ipod all the time, I need Sync working again. Otherwise I might just leave it.

Back when I had my 2010 Mustang I used an old iPod for my music with SYNC. Now I just use a little 8GB USB stick loaded with music ... works fine and much simpler.

All my music is form Itunes. I'll have to see if I can put it on a stick and if it will still work.

So basically go buy a 2014 premium console and have Ford update the PATS and its a go?? That would be awesome.

I installed the 13' Boss cluster in my 14' premium GT. Did the PMI for IPC, all seemed good. I did the PATS relearn even though I don't think I needed it. I think the PMI for the cluster took care of that but I wasn't sure.

I lost the mycolor but I think it's because I need to update the as built. I got a message that says "configuration could not be transferred from old module. This new module will require manual entry of configuration data saved during vehicle assembly. Contact the as built data center to obtain the information that needs to be filled in on the next screen".

Cluster seems fully functional minus the mycolor. Which is strange because my car has it and I'm pretty sure the Boss did that I got the cluster from, but not sure

SO I need to go to the ford site and enter my vin to get the as built data then just update the IPC as built?

Anyone know the website?
