Would there be any added complications if I used a gt500 cluster? Would it even work or should i just get a GT cluster?

I wouldn't recommend the GT500 cluster. You will have a useless Boost Gauge that will continuously be illuminated RED because the cluster sees the lack of Boost Signal as an Error.

Good points!

We could simulate the boost sensor and always show boost (SO it would never be red). Or we could wire up an actual (working) boost gauge

If I had a supercharger I would want the GT500 cluster and working boost Guage.

I would've got a GT500 cluster but I was afraid It was too far from the family as far as the ECU and sensors and wiring and the engines are different so I thought it would've been too much of a gamble.

I knew the boss had basically the same engine and computer so I thought that would help the cause.

HHmm I wonder if the boss has a map sensor or is that PID an inferred reading?

I would love to have that OEM boost gauge wonder how that would work

I had 2011 gt500 cluster in my 2010 GT. Worked fine just dead boost gauge.

Did you have to calibrate the speedometer?

There are no calibrations stored in the Cluster.

That's awesome. On the older cars didn't you have to have them calibrated or something since the speedometer went higher?

In the good old days there was a gear in the transmission that may have had to be changed. Now its all done electronically in the PCM by editing tire sizes and gear ratios. The PCM is merely telling the cluster how fast the car is going and the cluster electronics move the needle as necessary.

You are correct. Until 05MY you had to either use a calibration gear on the Transmission Speed Pickup, 99-04 Tuner, Splice in a Calibration box (expensive)

05MY and up, speed is generated by the PCM on the network.

On car-part.com there are 3 different versions listed for the 5.0. Any idea which one I would need?

I'm not seeing any 13/14 clusters on Car-Part... Maybe I'm lost as to what you are seeking?
