Zero so how is the firmware flashing going for those boss clusters with no mycolor?

 

Here is how its supposed to work. You connect to the VCM via USB cable, then you setup the wireless dongle to connect to your router. After doing so, you would reboot the VCM, then run the VCM config tool again and it will detect the VCM on your network. (That is how the genuine works anyway)

I got another cluster for testing (Thanks Lexiion). As soon as I'm done fooling with the PCM, I will start looking at the cluster more in depth.

When shipping to Canada, PLEASE don't use a courier.

Brokerage fees are maddening, and the delays take longer than if the package was sent post!

My VCM is at customs and being held there because the shipper undervalued it and they wanted documentation from me (usually the shipper is contacted for that when UPS is used). DHL contacted me to pay $32 for fees. Taxes would be $10 on it, so I don't know what the other $22 is for.

Now they want another $16 for processing fees.

I HATE courier companies. Never do I have to pay so much with post, or have these kinds of hassles. Package has been held since the third.

That sucks Jim! I know you are apprehensive about the VMCII, and I was too, but after using it on my truck to test things out, it is not as difficult as I thought it would be.

Mine was ordered I received it within 7 days of my order. I have had trouble with US customs on quadcopter parts and units that I order out of Australia. These have live feed video and when customs reads the description, they freak. I get an actual telephone call from US Customs each time questioning what I am doing. LOL

 

I'm happy to report that WIFI connectivity works ...

 

How did u end up making it work?

 

I just bought another $10 D-LINK dongle .. plugged it into laptop (already had one in the VCM) and after about a minute IDS saw the VCM .. I did not have to use a USB cable.

 

Got my VCM.

 

Everything is installed. Put abs module back in car.

Let's see.

 

Well, i am pretty unsuccessful today. I tried to install my 2013 ABS module today and the only thing i get when i do the PMI is Communication error.

I tried to do it exactly like dmhines wrote, but i do not even see any of those options. In the cluster, the ABS light goes off, the traction control stays on. However i can't do the PMI as i only get communication error.

Thoughts?

Did you do the install exactly as in the readme.txt?
If you want to connect use other for the session, not VCMII
