at this point have it changed somewhere. Just tell them you want Moble one and no Fram filters!

 

motorcraft filters, Moble 1, K&N filter work just fine. Fram sucks...

Yep. Most places do. Call a few places make sure before you go.

 

Be sure to watch them change it so that it actually happens. Oil places are well known to not do the work and then charge people anyway. I would ask to be in the bay when it is done...

 

Jeff has sued over 500 places for this very practice....

Here's what I just bought at Advanced Auto Parts....Its also what the Service manual calls out!!

 

You betcha...! Actually I have watched several exposes on this issue and the places getting caught on tape. Just a word to the wise to be careful is all I am saying...The exception to this would be a dealership...

 

And also double check that drain plug!!!! Oh the nightmares I've heard about!!!

 

I welded my drain plug on! I like them to earn their money!

Jarrod you need to ask to taste the oil before you let them do it. The synthetic tastes like honey. The other stuff tastes like cough syrup.

 

New update on the car. Got a call today from John. He tells me that the car is still not ready and hopes it will be done tomorrow. Not alot of enthusiasm here.

 

Good point David. Also, if you put a few drops of syn on ground and pee on it, it will start foaming. Kinda like Mentos and Diet Coke. Another good way to check. Just go behind the building and do it.

They have the parts and suposedly Benji is in the process of repairing it. I sure hope so. If I don't have that car tomorrow I am going to freeak out.
