Ok Ed... did you see the last response on Modularfords. Looks like the Air directly blowing onto your CAI filter is the problem. All we have to do is find a way to smooth out the air flowing into your hood. A screen possibly?? Not sure about the foam they are speaking of... Im sure we can come up with something.
This doesn't make sense to me... Exsesive air blowing over the MAF,.. What do you you think happens when you add a blower or Turbo? Plus the filter should smooth out the air flow. These cars can be picky.. but they're not that bad.
I bet a retune will work just fine. From the codes he's getting the base CAI tune is getting more air than the base CAI tune was designed for due to the ram air.. Bump up the fuel ratio and you should be fine.

Paul...its not Exsesive air flowing over the MAF. Its the turblulant air blowing into the filter and swirling the MAF. Its not a even flow of air. A blower or turbo would Force the air into one fluid motion and level out the turbulance. You might be right...a tune might help...but these answers are coming from some respected tuners and vendors on Modfords... but whos to say they arent wrong??
Here is a pic with the Eibach Pro Kit and 20's ... the guy says they ride perfect
Here is another with 20s and the Pro kit
They are... They're good, but I still not all knowing. The filter would smooth out the air... Why even have ram air if you're going to resprict it further by putting foam in the path...
Makes no sense. I bet dollars to Cheetos, I could tune that sucker out...

Probably true my friend probably true..... lets take a Hammer to it ED... jk
OK Tony I think I got the final ruling I believe on the springs.... STEEDA ULTRALITES are a perfect fit. Eliminates the rear end gap and doesnt make for a harsh ride. Here is the quote I got from Modular fords

yeah i ran pro-kit/frpp struts and shocks. rides like ****! I would suggest the steeda ultralights. they dont lower the car a redicilous ammount but will elimiate the wheel gap in the rear. if not... the full saleen setup rides pretty solid for the price.

Well I now have another person swearing by the Pro kit. Here is his ride
Hey Tony... here is a link to the question I posted on Modularfords. I hope its ok that that used a pic of your car. Read some of the posts and see what you think. This thread may go on for a while.. I would check back frequently to hear some input on other members experiences with 20''s and lowering

Who do you guys use for puting in the 4:10's
Benji at Bob Hurley Ford. Call BHF ask for Benji in service and tell him you want the mustang club gear install special. He will tell you what you need. Mainly the gears and an install kit with oil.
Benji is Da Man ... Oh and 4.10s will make you feel like you found beer flavored nipples
I just moved to Tulsa 3 weeks ago and shortly thereafter put a ram ait\r hood on my 06 gt. My engine has been stalling since.
the errors codes from my sct are p) 171 and P0174. Both read "System too lean" the second code has a number 2 after the message.
I may have figured it out. A friend noticed last night the sensor screw had stripped the rubber mount so I am going to hose clamp it today to see if it helps. THe sensor was sticking out from the seal about a quater inch.. I guess the ram air hood made the difference in the amount of air required to throw off the sensor.
ps I know the above fix is a rig, but its all I can do for now.
