A few questions for amyb.
Gosh, I almost forgot, Amy. Two other quick questions:
- Will the cars be available through Ford dealerships in Canada?
- Can you add other Shelby options to the car at the time of ordering, i.e. your sequential tail lights?

Thanks Amy, it is the customer service that you have been providing on this forum (and others) that is the reason why I will be buying a Shelby GT...can't wait.
Amy
Cool I appreciate it. We do our best, its important to us that the passion for the shelby brand is always met with the same passion from us. Not always works out like that, but we try....
Guess it's time to visit a dealer and find out directly. Of course, I'll probably get the proverbial, "Shelby GT wha...?"
Another quick question, Amy (sorry, I just keep asking as they pop into my head!): Does the FRPP short shift kit you use in the Shelby GT necessitate ordering the Hurst shifter assembly...or can the Hurst asssembly be deleted? Frankly, I don't like the Hurst style shifter - I think it's too tall and too much retro for the current car; makes it hard to shift with one's elbow on the center armrest. I prefer the short, stubby shifters that come with the stock Mustang GTs, and more commonly reflect today's performance cars. I know lots of people here love the Hurst style shifter, but for me, it just goes a bridge too far.
Thanks, Amy.
If the car is about to show up in the ordering system for Ford USA, then I have to assume that Ford of Canada should know about it pretty soon; if not already.

- Orders to be placed in CONCEPS as a Mustang GT (T82) with Shelby GT Upfitter's Package (54U); option code 54U is exclusive to Shelby GT. Please reference attached Information Packet for ordering details. The dealer must add the following Shelby Drop ship Code 88WKH7.

Amy...any plans to make this rear emblem available for sale?
This would be great because I am not looking to "copy" a GT500, just enhance my GT.
Also a similar horn button w/out the "GT500" would be great too!

I think she copy and pasted that from another source....I'm sure she has the packet, but we dont get one....or get to see it....
54U, as stated in Amy's post, is the Shelby GT Upfitter's Package, not a specific code for the Hurst/FRPP shifter. It is simply the code you enter if you want to order a Shelby GT. Also, it is already in Ford's CONCEPS, you just can't place an order using that code yet.
The quote she posted is from dealer literature.

So we're stuck with the Hurst shifter then.
Nope. It's removable.
And it should be easy to find a stock shifter out there since so many have replaced with the Hurst.
Or I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem finding someone to swap with you.
