Hi, Amy -

Just a quick question...any comments on the plan to delete the "GT" emblem on the front fenders and replace with a unique one?

I assume "GT" is on the final production version.

Thanks!

PS - Nice article in Modified Mustangs, by the way!

The GT emblem is gone replaced by a powered by ford emblem. The first 1000 cars will have this one, then there is one that is a little different but the same idea. Ross

HI reb, That has been changed. Ford got us the new emblems in time to ship the first cars, so all the cars will have the same new "powered by Ford badge"

Amy,

Are the fender badges and rear decklid lettering, stick on or pin installed?

The fender badges and letters are stick on using a new technogoly tape made for us. We found that the abuse the letter took on the Hertz cars due to the repeated washing, was not to our standard. we also didn't want rust issues , doing drillings in the fender and deck lids.

So, We chose this new method.

s/c question

Hi Amy,

Just wanted to offer my kudos to you, Carroll, and the entire Shelby team. From the things I've read, I think what you've done is fantastic for both Ford and Shelby, and I wish you much success in the future.

I have a few quick questions.. the answers to which may hopefully help other members of this board..

My brother and I are looking into taking the first two of my local dealer's Shelby GT's, which he has already ordered and has VIN's and invoices on. Unfortunately, my dealer isn't very informed on the Shelby GT (I actually directed him to your website).

Regardless, my question is we'd both like to have the CS6 hood and the Supercharger option - if we decide to take the cars he has already on order, how do I help a clueless dealer order these options? Do we call you from the dealer with the VIN numbers? (the cars already have VINs) I know you've said the cars need to be picked up in order to get these things, but you said you were working this out with dealers - what is the chance I can get these options, pay Shelby directly (if required), and get the car shipped to my dealer? I'd love to be able to pick up the car and do the museum delivery, but I'm in NJ - a trip to Vegas is not an issue, but getting the car back to NJ without putting a few thousand miles on it would be.

Finally - if we were able to give you the VIN, is it possible to pay to have Carroll sign a part of the car prior to delivery? We know that Carroll has it so you can send your part in and have it signed.. just wondering if we can make the process a bit easier and have it done while it's in the shop..

Appreciate and anxiously await your response,

-Ted

Hi Ted, we can do the hood and SC for you and we now have a "home delivery for 500.00 . So if you would like the upgrades, please call the office and ask for John walker.

On the Shelby Signing, it would be difficult to do as he is not always here and albe to sign, but if you are getting upgrades your car will be here longe and the odds are better. Let us know, thanks

So you cannot get the 54U without sending it to Shelby and getting the FRPP handling and performance packs? I'm asking because I need to answer some questions for my fellow autocrossers.

No you can't. Computer system will not let you order it if it doesn't have a shipping code to Las Vegas. I've already tried at my local dealer.

Dang it isn't Amy ever so helpful to put her self out on the front line like this ! All=beit great for buisness but I see a total customer satisfaction.
Amy and team You people Rock , at least that's what my 10 year old son is seeing also , who will be the first person to change the engine oil on my Mustang, under my strict super vision of course.
My hats off to the Shelby Team.

Definitely agree with that! I have had all the questions answered I have asked and the "Home delivery" came about with people wanting the upgrades but unable to go to LV for pickup. That is awesome customer service to arrange all of this outside of the Ford transportation process.

I just need my VIN from Ford...

What is it you are looking for? The bumpers are Cal. Special and the Black wheels are available through the parts dept and the Polished are factory.

Amy,

Why won't you offer the new "Powered By Ford" badges? Or will you and I just need to be patient?

Some have said that it will not be available to prevent cloning. This does not make sense to me since you have the S H E L B Y letters available on your website and I can purchase other GT500 items on other websites as well.

There are a number of us that really love the new badge and it seems that it does nothing but promote Ford to have it out there on the street.

PLEASE offer this for sale. I'd rather you sell the badge and NOT offer the SHELBY letters.

These badges, like the stripe kits, and the scoop, will not be made available.
