Hi randy, I believe with the shelby gt-H and the new shelby GT we will reqire yoyu to use premium. Not sure on octane requirement yet

I'll take just about one of everything, they are exceptionally well done.
Based on pictures they must really be cool.

I had to go round the world just to find some Carroll Shelby center caps for my 05 Mustang GT Bullit Wheels.

Hi GG, we are waiting for final pricing and timing, that is why they say "coming soon" but I already spoke to the team Friday, I expect to get most of it complete this week, if not all of it

Amy

You stated in one of your last posting that you were getting a Shelby and that one of your fellow employees at the Shelby factory already had a white car... I'm going to assume the you're referring that the 4 of you are getting GT500's ??? Or do you guys having a early xmass with preproduction Shelby GTs - before start-up date - January 2007 ??????????????

If your all getting Shelby GT - Amy what was your color choices and the others, manual or auto, and with what kinds of options???

The supercharger option - if you checked that one off ( my favorite), if I were you I'd be asking Carroll if he'd like to place a small bet as to which car would do a quarter mile quicker? His much heavier GT500 convertible or your much lighter Shelby GT (with or without a supercharger)???? HMMMMM that would be a interesting race..... If this is too personal - please forgive me for asking (either GT500 or Shelby GT) would you consider posting a photo of you and your new car... A video of you and Carroll drag racing Gt500 against a Shelby GT (supercharged to be fair) would be outstanding and would be news worthy world-wide... I realize this posting is all just for fun but that would be just soo cool - my hero Carroll Shelby at 83 drag racing a quarter mile drag race against the president of Shelby Automotive... If you set it up right Carroll could most likely raise a few $100,000.00 dollars for his charity, have alot of fun doing it ( as would you ) you guys can't buy that kind of free PR, that would be a event... Ofcourse I realize this would never happen - but what the heck - it was fun typing it/ it would have people in the automotive world all a buzz... Good night all... Randy Anderson

>> we are all getting Gt500's. Mine will be grabber orange with white stripes. The head of production does have a Shelby GT prototype, he donated his car so we could make the one that was unveiled in August.

>> I will not be getting a Shelby GT, I have the Gt500 coming and I want a convertable. My preference though is the white with silver, I think its a sharp combo and stands out. manual or auto with a SC, for sure. I think the Manual is a guy thing.....lol I have a 71 chevelle 454 with automatic, it is plenty fast.

>>> Well that would be interesting, we will have to wait till we have 2 in op and try them out, but the weight difference is key. also, I don't put these cars in the same class. The Gt500 is a blvd bruiser, not my choice for drag car.

Amy it has been a few days since your last post and I know you are busy but I was wondering if you have anymore info on pricing and ordering? I am having a terrible time trying to get info through my dealer and I just dont want to go through the same BS as last time. I will give up and forget about owning a Shelby if we have to go through the dealer treatment again. Any info on ordeing and $$ would be awesome. Also, if you happen to be speaking to a big wig at Ford please ask him or her to do something about the dealer situation. I know they dont have a magic wand but if they really want to turn things around at Ford it would be a great place to start. If people felt they werent going to get mistreated, lied to, or taken for a ride they would probably come in to the showroom more often and maybe buy a car or two.

Before anyone steps in and says Ford has little to no control over the dealers, believe me, Ford could make the dealerships do whatever that wanted... IF they wanted. Ford controls which vehicles they get and how many so don't tell me the dealerships don't already do exactly what Ford tells them to.

Agreed, there is nothing that can be done, its Fair trade.....

On the pricing, I expect it will be 35K so order the car if you are ok with that price. That is the best I can do right now

I am interested in this car, but 10 pages is a lot to read to get to this point.

Amy a question here, and please pardon me if it was already asked , I might have missed a post. You mention the 3 year plan. I assume this means you will be making the Shelby GT for the next three years, hoepfully the GT 500 also. The GT you mention will only come in the two colors the first year in 07. Is there a possiblity we will have more color options in the next years to come?In 08 and 09?

If I were rich I would own a 68 Shelby , but that wont happen for me cause Im not. I would love to own a Shelby GT and might be able to squeeze my money to get one. But if I'm going to pay 35k for a new car, which would be tight for me, It's going to have to be the color I want, Torch Red. There is not way I could "settle" for a color I am not crazy about like black or white.

If the Shellby GT doesnt come in Torch Red any time in the future I guess I'll just keep my 05 and mod it to suit me.

>>There is always a possibility that there will be future years of both of these cars. That all depends on if the continue to sell well. If it does continue, we have discussed there will be new colors added every year to the shelby GT, whether that happens or not is still undecided.

>>> completely understand, but right now this car does not come in that color option. This is no different then any other specialized auto manufacturer. Colors are limited. We left red out because it is a huge color in the Gt500. We dn't wantto confuse the market. It's also easier to stop a fake when the colors are limited.

If the Shellby GT doesnt come in Torch Red any time in the future I guess I'll just keep my 05 and mod it to suit me.[/quote]

>>If the Gt is what your after, the wait will be long, even if we change the colors, red is not on the table yet. Sorry

Hey Amy,
What colors are on the table for 08, and realistically do you think that they will happen?

Thumbs up Shelby GT Test Cars 1 of 4

Hi Amy,

Thanks for the reply on order option info, please feel free to send one of the four test cars to Landers Ford in Little Rock, AR attention Dave Tinnon, car order manager. I have a black GT ordered at Landers..........

I evaluate new technology as part of my currentl job and I'll be happy to buy one of the test cars and give you all the feed back you need on what I think. I'm really serious about it, we'll even get one of the car magazines to cover it in a story.

A black 5-speed, Hertz GT Style hood & fog lights, and all the interior really cool options listed under Shelby GT.

Let me know when you want to proceed, Arkansas would make a really neat test area. I promise to keep good records and post to your website.

Thanks, GG

yes, but to be honest, I should be more careful, because now I have calls saying people will wait to order their cars in blue and grey. I want to stress that there is no guarantee that there will be an 08 and there is no guarantee that we will change the colors to blue or grey. I was asked what we are looking at, so I am discussing it here, but I want to make sure that people understand when I am informing all of you of discussions being had and what is real.

Right now, we have 07 and nothing more on the Shelby GT.
