A few questions for amyb.
Amy B please HELP us with ordering!
Dear Amy B
Can you or anyone else help me teach my dealer how to order a Shelby GT. He has never heard of it. Who should I tell them to contact? Sense they sell the Shelby GT500 does that make them qualified to sell the Shelby GT. I realize the order forms might not be open yet but If I can get the in the ball rolling I might have a shot at it. Also, will there be A-Plan pricing like there is on the Roush Mustangs?

Here is what I know now.....
I believe all dealers will get the new Shelby GT. The dealers should have all the info shortly. Thi s is a new proceedure for Ford and the dealers, as the cars will come to us and then be sent to the dealers. There are many details to work out. I do not know on A- pricing, sorry..

hmmm....with all of that transporting...how many miles will be on these things by the time they get to the dealer?
I wouldn't think it would be any different than the way a Roush is handled. The Shelby facility will have (or probably already has) what's called a Drop Ship Code, just like any Ford dealer would have. The cars will be shipped "directly" (factory - car hauler - rail car - car hauler - Shelby) to Shelby where they'll do the mods (and "tesing"
). That part will be covered under the standard Destination & Delivery fee included in the price of every car/truck. Then using Ford's Freight Re-Entry Program, the cars will be shipped to the dealers using the dealers drop ship code. This might be included in the original D&D fee, I can't remember for sure. Basically Shelby will be piggy-backing on Ford's transport contract so the cars are shipped using the same transport company Ford uses.
Think of it as a stop-off between the factory and the dealer.
The car shouldn't have more than 5 miles, plus whatever Shelby puts on it, once it arrives at the dealer.

Actually the wAy it will work will be different form other partners. we will be one with Ford, the cars will have very little mileage on them. We will however use all of Ford's transportation.

update?
Do we have a Whipple/FRPP and how much will the check have to be for that box? 2K, 3K, 4K, 5K???
And finally, you will sell all that you make, so make more than 10K per year for more than one year, and help eradicate the scourge that is the ADM...
please.
Guys, We are working on this, but we have a small show next week, called SEMA, I promise we will have info in November.....Promise

Amy
PS, if your going to SEMa, do check out the car in the American racing booth.... it has some interesting options
The badge on the Shelby GT will say ------- -- ---- lol I don't want to get in trouble
