Some rough luck for me, the GT build thread you don't want to have to make

I'm in Simi Valley, Ca at a Hotel off the 118. Have the motor with me and stopping by MMR in the morning to go over what may be done with it. Money is too good to pass on this option, and had a long talk with the owner of MMR who really set my mind at ease in regard. Going to check out the shop and paperwork to make sure everything lines up and matches. IF it all lines up, I'll be dropping the hardware and money to get this done.
Its nice to finally be putting money down on something and get movement made on getting back on my feet. More details to follow.

Mark was great to work with today, gave me a tour, and went over every inch of the build, paperwork, options, and evaluation of the parts I brought. While I was there I did get to see how they treated other customers, and there were some very positive examples. Spent half the day there having Mark and his staff answer my un-ending list of questions.
I signed the paperwork and plunked down some cash for this:

use my existing boss intake manifold and feed it with the JLT carbon CAI I had.
I did get a good look at the MMR "roadrunner" intake. Its a cool piece, especially given the new roadrunner emblem they're putting on it, but overkill for my needs/wants.

Have to agree with them there off the top of my head. I'd go 10 over on the whole thing and be done with it (although I'm speaking from building old iron block motors that we'd usually go 30 over on, and any of that knowledge doesn't really apply to these sleeved aluminum blocks. )

Have had great experiences with MMR. Have their shortblock and massaged heads in my 98 cobra. Took them a couple weeks longer than quoted to finish. But not a big deal, and ran the engine for over 3 years before I had a tensioner fail and damage some valves which wasnt the fault of MMR or the engine.

An update for everyone:
The indiegogo campaign ended, and once the funds are dispersed, I'm sending them to the Arc.
Additionally I have some pistons to mail out to those who helped, and I should have them out Friday. Thanks for all the help, everyone here is welcome to a ride in the car (and hell, a drive in it!)
As far as progress on the motor, its still awaiting its turn to be built, parts are stacking up. I can't wait to get my hands on it all, but may be september. I really hope sooner than later as its been a very tough summer in Phoenix (and everywhere), and I've been borrowing a car without AC.
My foot is slowly healing, still is painful, but I'm able to run again, and have been working on my fitness.
I'll post a picture of the Arc donation once those funds are released and keep everyone informed. Hopefully start having build pictures and progress to share.

well, 3 months later and here we are:
I'm picking up a van to go get the motor tomorrow in LA. All the other parts are here, with FedEx and UPS making a handful of last minute deliveries between today and saturday. All I have to buy is some distilled water for the radiator, and beer, water, and sodas for the crew helping me install this on saturday.
I'll be updating my facebook with progress and try to update this thread as well on saturday, but you can follow me on FB at /captdistraction
I'm going to shoot a timelapse using a gopro 2 from the roof of my car, that should be pretty cool to put together and watch later.
Wish me luck, hopefully in 48 hours I'm hearing a perfect first start-up and an end to this arduous journey. Just think, a car with air conditioning, lol.

Good luck!
Remember:
Distilled water goes in radiator
Beer goes in crew
Don't mix it up or nobody is happy
