Its a 2010
Not current style regardless what you want to think or compare.

The antenna is moved,
the interior is all new
the rear/front are all new
and it has hips

and that's just a start.

The Camaro has always been a me too product to the original. Yes some aspects of the Camaro will be better, but the Camaro will be priced higher than the Stang because it will be more expensive to manufacture.
Or they will get soaked trying to sell it very close in price, Camaro will be manufactured in Canada and it has what now amounts to proprietary chassis in the US. Gonna take a helluva lotta F5s to keep costs in line. Which leads me to, it may be the wrong car for the times with everybody freaking out about gas prices. A 6.3L 400hp+ V8 sounds thirstier than a 4.6 300hp V8, although it might be insignificant when viewed in light of that nice little 300hp 3.6 V6 that is sure to come in there

And the drop in the US dollar vs the Canadian dollar won't help.

However GM also has a 300 HP V6 then can use in the Camaro

The American economy is in the toilet. The American dollar is only worth .02 more than the Canadian a few months back it was actually equal.

As far as GM being in bad shape it is not really true. Out of the big three GM is in the best of shape while Chrysler is in the worst Ford is not much better off than Mopar
