Who knows if these tail lights suck that bad i'm sure they can swap them out mid model cycle like the switch from 95 to 96.

I think 96-98 style tail lights would look awesome for the next Mustang having three seperate lamps that slightly protrude from the tail light panel thats what i thing Ford SHOULD do!

I hope they keep the retro looking numbers.

So there are obviously 3 taillights, separated by two white reverse lights, but design-wise it just doesnt seem logical for the third light which cannot see to be the same shape as the other two that are visible. If the third light were rectangular like the others, it would not follow the "lines" of the car.

Excuse the crudity of my photoshop, but here's what I see, marked by yellow lines.

the third taillight is apparently supposed to wrap forward around the fender..

After seeing the Focus design team got busy with the F-150 I'm praying they didn't get to work on the Mustang..

I'm really scared seeing that they actually put chrome on the F-150 tails, I mean seriously, that fad wore out years ago in the import ricer scene, hello!

I don't like the wrap around taillights or headlights for that matter. Just put extra on the side rear fascia like they do now. Ugh... glad I have an 06!

I fully expect that chrome to vansih and be replaced by black partsafter a year or two. IT's the same thing they did with the headlights on the 99+

On that autoblog site it said this was a GT. I'm pretty sure they were wrong.

The rear wheels look like they stick out a little more.

I dont like how low the hood dips down, it's a little to far for me.

Would rather Ford avoid that in the first place. Still not liking it one bit.

For the moment, I don't mind the chrome. A few chrome accents can look tasteful as long as they don't go overboard with it. Ford needs to keep in mind that there is a fine line between classy/retro and ghetto/ricey...

Anyway, I'm still on the fence about this refresh. My opinion of the front fascia is improved, but am not liking the idea of wrap-around head lights.

Come on Ford, this is now 2008.....Integrate the antenna into the rear window like the majority of new cars currently do.

I am not really concerned with the look of the car. I am sure that Ford will make the exterior look sharp and hopefully upgrade the interior. I am concerned with what the output of the V8 engine, suspension, and brakes.

Pardon the pun, but that rear looks BUTT ugly. I'll reserve full judgement, but based on what we see now, I'll keep the '05.
