I would like the last 12 pages of my life back, please.
Seriously, I love my car and I don't care about track times and 0-60. It makes me smile when I drive and that's all that matters. BUT, if you are someone who lives for the numbers, get a V8.
Kona, it seems like you're still trying to sell yourself on your new ride man. Its a sad thing to see. Just enjoy it and quit worrying about numbers and speeds you'll never reach.

I certainly appreciate and value your opinion and insight on what you think I'm trying to do. I know that you and I are such good friends that you know me and caring is sharing.
Isn't that the bell I hear for someone to close this forum

Well I appreciate your insight on this. If in fact the v6 driveshafts are weaker and not able to withstand speeds such as 135, then shame on Ford for not warning customers this. Shame of Ford for indicating and advertising to me my 2011 v6 stang is capable of going 160. My 2011 stang came with a stock factor speed odometer that reads 160. When I looked at the car, test drove it the speed odometer read 160. Ford is advertising this vehicle and giving off the impression this 305 hp vehicle is capable of going 160 mph. This is not the case and there speed odometer should not advertise such. It gives people a false sense of what the car is not really capable of doing.
One reason consumers buy a sports car is to drive fast especially if you got a stang. Ford really needs to change on how there marketing and advertising this car.

I'd say that is close enough to make my point. Along with the countless other posts in multiple threads that basically say the same thing.

The 6th post in this thread...
Shall I go on?
Im just saying that the printed speed odometer is a form of advertisement and it doesn't represent a factual maximum speed of what the car can do. I think its a cheap marketing and advertising trick that Ford uses to get people thinking the car is more capable of what it actually is. Its a form of advertising and it just gives false impressions about the vehicle.
If my 2011 stang can only go 115 safely then just have a stock speed odometer that reads 115. I had a 1993 v6 Camaro and that too had a speed governor on it. The top speed was around 115 and so the speed odometer read 115. One never got the impression the v6 could go 140. The Z28 had a speed odometer of 160 or so.
I love my 2011 stang, however im glad I read the mustang forums. If not I would of never known about the speed governor and never known my 305 hp sports car couldn't safely travel faster than my soccer mom Mazda mini van

Its marketing, advertisement and gives a FALSE sense of what the vehicle is capable of doing. There is a difference my friend. That's not the same as false advertising. In your mind it reads false advertisement. In reality, that's not what was written or said. Your like my 7 year old daughter. You hear what you want to hear.
