2012 Camry 3.5 V6 21/30 268/248 HP/TQ
2013 Accord 3.5 V6 21/34 278/ 252
2013 Fusion 2.0T 22/33 237/250

I think the slight penalty you pay in fuel economy is outweighed by the much better performance. In my opinion if people are willing to pay the extra money for a turbo four, why not get a V6 that has much more power.

The V6 accord has a 41HP advantage and all you have to give up is 1 city mpg that is offset by the 1mpg advantage on the highway

If doesn't matter what advantage Camry or Accord have when Fusion doesn't have it.

Fusion V6 does not have advantage in power and fuel economy compared to Fusion I4 EB. And that's all that matters. 2012 Fusion 3.5L is rated at 18/27 mpg so Ford needed to do a lot of work to match 2.0L EB fuel economy numbers.

If you wanna a V6 - get a Taurus. 2012 Taurus actually has a lower price than 2012 Fusion V6.

M/T are quoted as saying the next-gen Taurus will use a stretched Fusion platform, so they won't stay a similar size for long.

For me, Fusion is MUCH better looking that the too-tall-looking Taurus.

I suspect anyone looking for a V6 will be directed to the Taurus though.

I'm still hoping, in the long run, the full-sized Ford saloon will eventually be spun off the new Mustang/Lincoln RWD underpinnings, but that might have to wait for the next, next generation of Taurus!

2013 Fusion on Motor Trend comparison test

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...rd_fusion.html

You can't help thinking what the Fusion would be like with one of its more potent engine options and bigger wheels and tires. But even as is, the Fusion produced plenty of grins among us. For family-sedan buyers in search of some driving spice, the Fusion warrants a serious look.

When they (I think it was M/T) tested the Titanium Focus with option 18" wheels they complained that they wish it had the standard rims/tires to better evaluate the car.

The center stack, though, is a disaster: a mess of tiny, faintly labeled buttons seemingly executed as an afterthought ("What about the models that don't have the MyFord Touch screen, boss?" "Uh, I dunno, Harris. Just throw a bunch of soft-touch tabs together and paint 'em Indistinguishable Ninja Black. The kids will love it.") Well, the kids don't.
Looks pretty good to me . . .

too many buttons? They all are in a logical order and make sense. I dont see how anyone would have an issue using or finding anything.

Only place that looks like a lot but isn't is they have buttons for vent directions where they used to use ***** on most cars.

Like I said . . . looks pretty good to me.

Saw two SEs yesterday. One in Bordeaux Reserve and Ginger Ale. Both looked pretty good, though neither color is a favorite of mine. Going to wait until the Titaniums start showing up to drive one.

I didn't even notice that.

Electronic parking brake? Thats no fun. How are you going to be able to do snow drifting without being able to manually pull and modulate the parking brake?

This just in....100s of less accidents a year from some kid goofing off with the manual handbrake.

Considering a lot of vehicles don't use the handle anymore..this really isn't a surprise... but interesting to see its just a button and not a floor mounted pedal.

All of the cars posted so far look like they're running on 13s!! Sadly, a big body needs big wheels to pull off a half decent stance

For $22,500, a mid-size car needs to have a nicer wheels, simple as that.

My 2008 Fusion has these wheels ... and I paid only $16,000 for it (brand new).

Welcome to 5 years later.
