I know the Whipple will require some modification around the hole where the air outlet meets the heat shield. The heat shield is really tall on the whipple (made of metal too). The Saleen supercharger also will not fit.
I am sure that this will fit the whipple becuase this hoos is high. From the look of the pix, it looks like its about 1 1/2 inch raise so shouldnt have any problem. Check out his guy hood, he is has a whipple and he is using the Trufiber SH-GT hood. I think the only modification that he did was cutting the hole where where the air come out to the filter...
Hey AFBLUE,
The Roadster hood that you have will not fit the Saleen Supercharger. A friend of mind install that hood and did not fit the Saleen Supercharge. It rub the hood a bit...appox 1/4 inch

I spoke with the owner of this car. He's the one that told me he had to modify his hood to get it to fit. Like you said, he had to cut away around that opening.
Hmm, good info. Not looking to pick up this hood (happy with my CS6) but was curious since I had to modify it for my Roushcharger. Mine has the same inside layer as stock however the hood overall is a bit thicker. I guess fiberglass hoods need to be a little thicker for structural support.
What's this hood in the pic? This a hood you're making? I like that the fall off from the scoops isn't as dramatic as the Trufiber one. The DCF hood was a more smooth transition than the Trufiber. I prefer the DCF, but will get the Trufiber if that's the best there is.

I had high hopes for this hood back when they were displaying the DCF hood photos. In it's latest rendition I am now not very interested in it unless the outer edge of the ram intakes can be filleted, as was the DCF hood. From the Alliance photos it appears that there is a hard 90 degree seam along the sides of the ram intakes and this was not the case for the DCF hood. I've attached a photo of the DCF hood to show what I mean.

yes this is mine, unfortunately Im not a large company so finances are slowing this project down, I most likely wont be beating trufiber to the punch, I couldve had a one of a kind on my car though long ago, but then what would you guys be left with....lol
completely agree, thats what it was I was trying to figure out what was off with the hood.

You are correct. They have to put 3-4 layers of fiberglass for it to be strong, otherwise if they are making it too thin, it will flex at high speed. I like your cs6 hood...where did you get that? and it it heat extractor?
The TruFiber hood more closely mimics the 68 KR hood and is probably the closest we'll get to a retro KR hood. I will wait until I see one painted and installed before I decide on it or one like the DCF hood. The DCF hood was the the first style aftermarket hood I liked and still holds a warm spot considering that the design mimics both the 68 KR and added features that the current S197 hood has. Someone buy one of these TruFiber hoods and paint it torch red.

are you talking about CS6, GTS, or the SH-GT hood.
The SH-GT and the GTS should be ok with the whipple. I dont think the CS6 will fit the whipple becuase the height is about the same as oe
