trufiber GT-S ram air hood group sale 5 hoods
I have a question on paint. I would love to get this hood but having just installed the Ford GT500 rear spoiler, I noticed that even with a good body shop, the paint is a tad bit off. The body guy told me that metallic paint lays differently on a fiberglass or plastic piece as opposed to metal.
. With my spoiler, it isn't that big. With a hood, I'm wondering if the difference in paint might be a bit more noticeable. I do love this hood and will seriously look at getting it at some point after some of you dive on the grenade. I'd be most interested in seeing somebody who has this hood with metallic paint post up some after shots.
Something about electromagnetic charge during painting or something like that causes the flakes to lay differently
Hey Yao,check out the hood on the KR in these pics. I don't think it would work w/our fascias.. To achieve this awesome look, the actual shape of the hood needs to differ. I want this freakin car bad
yes! i love LOVE the KR hood and fascia look.
the only way we can get this is if we do the gt500 fascia.
however, if we dont and go with the trufiber GT-S '68 hood, we can get a prettty cool look still.
i know brother! i can't stop drooling when i see the KR!!!!
Give Phil a call and ask him your quesions. Phil is really cool and he is very helpful. Would love to get you guys on the group buy and save the $140-150 shipping costs!

Hummmm, I notice ALLIANCE also carrying hood struts. I am wondering if they have a package deal if we buy their GTS hood and the struts.

well at least I dont need to worry about it..........ready for a small teaser? sorry about the bad pic.
hmmm not bad but for some reason it still seems a bit off, perhaps its the angle of the pics but it looks like the scoops are still just a tad bit too far back and the ridges of the openings a little too thin for my taste. Dont know it could just be the pics.........

I had high hopes for this hood back when they were displaying the DCF hood photos. In it's latest rendition I am now not very interested in it unless the outer edge of the ram intakes can be filleted, as was the DCF hood. From the Alliance photos it appears that there is a hard 90 degree seam along the sides of the ram intakes and this was not the case for the DCF hood. I've attached a photo of the DCF hood to show what I mean.

i personally like the trufiber better because the harder angle edges of the ram air makes the hood look more aggressive and KR like

just an opinion. i can't wait for this trufiber hood!
