I want to see a picture of an actual "production hood" (as mentioned just previously, a post or two above). I'm ready to spend the money if it's a good product AND a good deal.

Russ, Once the first production hood is done he'll be distributing pics. They'll likely get posted here as well. There's zero obligation so I figured I can't lose. If you don't like what you see you're not locked in. He indicated that they're hood will "look" exactly like the DCF hood, but with slight tweaks to the dimensions to get around the copyrights. He claims that with the two hoods side by side you won't see a difference. I have seen this hood on a couple of other sites in the last couple of days allowing for pre-orders. I'm guessing they're going to be selling the Tru-Fiber hood. They're all pricing it around $600 less shipping, so this does appear to be a good deal.

 

Phil said not to use hood struts w/ this hood. The cost to retrofit it will negate the savings on shipping,so I'm going to wait. There is a member on this site that is working on this hood with reinforcements for hood struts. hopefully it won't be that much longer

EDIT: It's backup again. I was concerned because when it was up, they weren't showing this hood, but now it on their site again. I better get one soon.

I spoke to Phil this morning and he told me that they should have pix of the GTS in the next couple days.
Phil sent me couple pix showing the hood with the hood shocks. Thats their car at the Knotts show. Check out the hood with the hood schocks

I was asking about the quality and how it worked with his Whipple. He had nothing but praise for the quality of the hood.

Looks like I'll have to do some minor triming if I go with the whipple (due to the large air filter and the tall heat shield. Send him a pm and he will contact you back. He sent me his cell# when he responded.
