trufiber GT-S ram air hood group sale 5 hoods

Hi all,

i spoke to Phil at Alliance/Trufiber about this new hood coming out may/june time frame.

he said that the Hood is $600. Shipping is like $150.

if 5 of us can do pre-order for 5 hoods, he can save us $150, thus eating the shipping cost.

Let me know. I think If 4 people go for this, i'll be in for the 5th hood.

thanks all...

Just replied on the other thread I'm glad you found this info..Thanks.
I'm in as long as its functional and hood struts can be used .Could you ask the guy if the area where the hood struts would go is reinforced ?
Lets get this thing rolling

Count me in for one. Let us know how it progresses and when we have to have the money.

I could be in on this, depends on what happens with the Ins. co. If I get a new car out of the deal then no. But if I have to have it repaired I am all over this hood. Right now I am guessing a 50/50 split.

Nice hood.

I hope its a bad pic(in the link)

It looks like the hood leaves a huge gap at the fender?? A 1/2 incher!

What if you get like 10-15 people to buy this? Will they lower the price as well? $600 for a hood is kind of steep. Isn't the shaker system only like 600-700? I was thinking it would be $500 or less like the rest of their hoods.

600 (shipping included is a very good deal for a brand new style which will probably have high demand) I've been shopping hoods alot. You might get a hood for 500 but the shipping will bring it up over 600 almost everywhere anyway

The picture is of the original Dream Car Factory hood. It is yet to be determined if Trufiber bought the DCF mold or created a new mold based on the DCF design.

The price of the DCF hood was around $1100 so $600 is a pretty good price if it is functional. DCF wanted additional money for the functional option. I'm going to wait until I hear some good feedback on fit and finish before I drop my dime. So hurry up and buy some you guys.
