The 2005+ Exhaust Thread
Here my newest sound clip:
Pypes O/R H-Pipe and Flowmaster American Thunders
Initial Start Up and Idle

Here's a few exhaust clips of the JBA axle backs and Pypes offroad H pipe.
Just JBA, several months ago, car is clean.
JBA's
After H pipe was installed
Pypes H pipe
The clip reall doesn't do the H pipe justice, it is a lot different and louder when you get on it.
Edit:
Links don't work anymore, just go to google video, do a search for: JBA PYPES and some videos will pop up.

Wow that was pretty nice. So now you're going to convince your friend with the borla's/frpp to get a Pypes Off-road H pipe as well right?
That would be the greatest side by side comparison ever. No joke. You must convince him.

Just got my new Flowmaster American Thunders for Christmas!
Man, they sound sweeeeet! I don't hear any of the drone problems that some people warned me about. I think they're a great axle-back system! They're not too loud for everyday driving, but you can turn some heads when you step into it
THANKS SANTA!

I did the same thing on my old Magnaflows. I used some high-temp flat black paint that's used for engines, etc. Definitely hides the mufflers. I'll probably do that this weekend.

These two video are of my car with Dynatech LT header... and nothing else. Just the uncorked headers. These were grabbed with my little digital still camera and give you some vague idea of how sick this thing sounds. Pay attention to how loud it is even when it is 600 to 800 feet away. Also, you can hear car alarms going off (it even set them off in my neighborhood at idle... LOL).
WOT Romp with open LT Headers #1

I finally got the SLP's I can't be happier, they are not that loud, except when you step on it.
It does feel stronger on lower rpms, which is great!!!
110% recommended, I installed them in less than 1 hour also.
you can see you cut a few pounds of weight also.
Thanks Brent for the quick delivery and help!!

But, you can't run open headers on the street (at least not all the time... haha). It was just insanely loud.
It was after I installed the rest of the exhaust piping (cats, X/H-pipe, over-axle pipe and axlebacks) that the sound changed dramatically. It is this sound I'm not liking. If I could get the rumble and growl of the open headers, but just a few decibels lower, I would love it!!

Dugan Racing called me today to let me know that the FRPP Exhaust came in overnight by mistake (I was thrilled)so they told me to come on down today (No problem). So I am in the customer lobby waiting for the install and I hear them try to start the car and it would not crank (my 1st thought computer is not recognizing the new exhaust), well it finally cranks and it is was the most obnoxious loud I could imagine and panick comes over me (Oh my god what have I bought). The owner sticks his head in the door and asks me if that is what I was looking for and I about hit the floor. The guy starts cracking up and tells me to hold on a few minutes more. It seems they were playing a little joke and started it before they put the new exhaust on ( I am can laugh now).
Anyway the FRPP's are on and sound and look awesome!!!! I love them <3
