Do you have a sound clip? Also where did you get the cutouts?

Thanks

The only sound I've heard of these is the video on ninosport.

Got any sound clips of the Bassanis? (Race?)

Who has the best deal on Borla's right now?

Hello Guys,

I'm wondering who has the best deal on Borlas right now? I'm looking for a catted, x-pipe, with the 3.5 tips. Next on the list is a call to Bama Chips for a C&L racer and a tune.......

Thanks in advance!!

Mike

Cutout pipes: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Good clamps: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

and just to be safe:

I got all the stuff from summit (And one item off don_w)

A few things to reccomend:
1. Make sure you do butt joints with band clamps, slip joints get stuck if you need to re-arrange the tubes
2. Go with cutouts that dont have welded-in bolts, I had to saw these off to accomodate larger ones
3. make sure you get a flange that's the same size as the exhaust pipe itself or the clearance is going to be awful and you'll scrape on curbs. The summit 2.5 to 3.0" ones i had on briefly got scraped up something awful.

When I installed mine, i put them directly into the back of the H-pipe since they are 2.5" diameter. from there they just connect to the rest of the exhaust. I had the pipes segmented up from two cuts so i was able to rotate parts of it to fit. I'll get pictures up later. Also for the wiring, there is a little grommet in the floor of the rear seats, I just went through those and through the carpet to the center console.

Sound clips here: (these were with the summit 3" ones, the 2.5" ones with the QTECS flow better)

I would describe them as a rougher than the borlas and they are loud at all rpms past 1k, and at higher RPMs you should probably be able to hear them from a mile away.

Nice. Thanks. I had found them once before. Part of that one is on ninosport also I think.

So how are they on a daily commute? Teeth rattling or tolerable except at WOT where you want it loud.

They bother me on long highway trips, but around town they're very enjoyable. Once you hit about 55 in 5th, they start to drone.

I have gutted the stock cats and it sounds alittle deeper than when it was stock. It would be louder I think with an actual offroad H pipe but I think that it would eventually get on my nerves. It sounds real deep though.

Can anyone give me their input on a certain setup? I'm curently running an o/r h pipe with FRPP Stingers with FRPP shorty headers. Anyone know how an o/r x pipe sounds with the FRPP Stingers? Sound clips would be nice if any one is running this kind of setup. This is what my exhaust currently sounds like. Thanks in advance.

I acually just got finished swapping out my hi-flow cats for my o/r pipes. I have a bassani x-pipe w/ stingers and frpp shorty headers and I think it sounds great. Its not a whole lot louder cruising around compared to using cats, but when I step on it, it sounds like a beast. Its a little raspy in high RPM's but I kinda like it that way.

So would I be correct in saying that your exhaust sounds deeper and has more of a rumble than it is raspy?

I have SLP LMs now and want to get a midpipe, but cannot decide between the Prochamber and the MRT H.

SLP Power Flo

I have an 07 GT convertible and I am looking at the SLP Power Flo's axle back. I think the SLP Loud Mouths would be too loud for me. Does anyone have the Power Flo's, I wondered how much louder or deeper they would be than the stock mufflers. Allso the American Muscle site notes that Ford changed the hanger type sometime in the '07 run and that different hangers might be required. Anyone have any info on that.

Thank,
Ron

Just posted under your clip, what O/R H is that and is it mind numbing inside?

Sounds great! My neighbors hate me now and would kill me for sure.

Yeah, my neighbors probably hate me now.

The interior noise isn't that bad for me. Others may have a different opinion.

The H came with the American Racing Headers. I had the Pypes O/R H before and it wasn't quite as mean as the ARH LT's and H.

Open Cutouts at the track

My wife shot this video from a great vantage point at the track. Right next to the starter. Personally, I think it sounds amazing from there. The combination of my car in one lane, and a small block Camaro in the other is pretty cool. Crank up the decibels for this one!
