Sounds Like You Had A Productive Session With The Car!

Congrats!

We Sold The BG Stuff at Most of The Dealerships I Worked At over The Years. I Liked it and Used it Myself! I Had My Own Meaning For MOA Besides Motor Oil Additive! I Would Tell The New Techs To Use it and Told Em After Adding it Stood For Move Over A--Hole! I Like The 44K as Well!

Replaced the factory driveshaft which had developed a leak in the rear CV boot with another factory driveshaft that came off a car that was bought and immediately sent off to Shelby American for the Super Snake package to be installed. The car had 8.3 miles on it when it was sent off, according to the owner. Part of the package was apparently a 1-piece Dynatech driveshaft.

Also fixed a diff fluid leak which had developed over time, seeping through the pinion nut. Took the nut off, cleaned it, put RTV sealant on the back side and put it back on with some Loctite on it. This was as recommended to me from a good friend of mine who works on these cars all the time and has seen this a bunch of times.

While I was under there, I also installed a new axle vent and topped off the diff fluid.Planning on a finned aluminum cover soon along with fresh fluid of course.

So Clean it Looks Like a Factory Component Detail Picture!

Are Those Colors on The Tips of The Wheel Studs Something Added?

No they weren't, I was going to ask you why they are there? On the rear studs only also.

My Guess Would be To Identify For Assembly At Factory Or They are Clocked Somehow For Assembly. Maybe a Balance Thing as Well! Now I'm Gonna Wonder for Sure! Also thinking Maybe They are Tested in Specific Areas and Those Indicate They Were Tested For Specs in 3 Areas.

If Nobody Else has Seen These I Would Say Previous Owner Was Doing Something!

I Will See What My Gt-500 Has on The Rear as The Wheels Have Only Been Off Once in The Back & Should Still Have Marks if Factory. That is When I Ever Get Around To Installing My 2015 Take Offs! If Not My Tires Are Way Aged Out & Gonna Have To Be Replaced soon Enough!

Washed it, along with the wife's Shelby.
Both cars way overdue.

This Tuesday we are using our GT as a 'time machine'. Back 50 years to 1975.
JAWS is playing at different theaters across the US to celebrate it's 50 years with all the modern IMAX sounds and experiences. We have our tickets at the Mall of Georgia outside Atlanta and we will take the Mustang. All we have to do is hit 88 mph on the way down to make it complete.
Lord knows what a large bucket is going to cost us along with a large soda but we are prepared for sticker shock..

I Drove my Son's '94 GT yesterday and I learned this week that a Fox Mustang power window motor is suitable to use as a replacement in a 1978 Lincoln Continental . Once I finish that project it's back on the '66.

Sounds like great fun. Will be another epic road trip. Too bad it is not a drive-in experience with all the same tech, but that does not exist. Have a safe one. Agree on the Popcorn, treats have cost more that the movie for the last few I have taken my grandkids to. Still a special occasion and worth it.

Thanks! I'll post about it here, probably Wednesday. It will be too late on Tuesday night. No fun coming home on the dark north GA, NC roads at night but good times can't always happen during the day. The Mall of Georgia is about 2 hours away.

Just wondering if it is something I could do to make mine have a longer life. At some point I may have to just let it go to a new home to spur the next generation of Mustang Fans!

I see a new spoiler on the back Show us your updates and the completed revisions.

I kept it in the garage and out of the rain that was NOT forecast. I can't believe how unreliable the forecasts about rain are here.
