Burgers and Conecuh on the grill.
Hey Lee, smoked my first brisket. Tender as can be, taste great. Made it a bit spicier than I intended just from using to much of the rub on it. I did do a creole butter type injection and let it set over night.

So good.
Looks good for a first timer. The cooking process (I would imagine) is fairly similar to a pork butt from what you've told me, so I'm sure that took some of the anxiety out of whether you'd embarrass yourself with it. I wouldn't feed my first few to anyone because I was afraid they weren't any good! How long/what temp? How heavy was it? I'm curious to know what kind of rub you used.

The rub was just a standard BBQ pit rub, I uses to much as it's got some spice tho. My electric smoker that I use wood in also has a water pan so I put a few cups in it to help keep meat moist and it does a great job.
