I made some creamed corn the other night when I fixed vegetables to go with the pork chops (including mac and cheese, lol).

Mine isn't super sweet though, I use sweet corn off the cob, milk, flour, and pepper. Don't add anything else to make it sweet.

Some of the stuff I've had is much closer to melted ice cream with corn added. Some of it's good, some of it's just not right. I usually prefer corn by itself off the cob but there are a couple of creamed corn recipes I like.

Our white corn down here in this part of the south is really sweet by itself, just the breed of corn and the land we grow it on. We don't add any sweetening agents like sugar, its just the way it is when you make it into creamed corn. Like I said before, the recipe is just cut it off of the cob, add milk, flour, butter and pepper and cook it up in an iron skillet. Its delicious. Not super sweet, but a little sweet from the corn we grow, and creamy and rich when you cook it up with the butter and milk. Its good stuff.

Our corn makes really good moonshine too, in case you haven't noticed.

We went to our church's crab feed. I'm not a huge fan of crab, but the rest of the stuff was decent. Pasta, salad etc. Also had a couple of Sierra Nevadas

too bad you don't live around here, The place I buy them from is open from 11am till 5:00am on weekends, it's usually busy all night.
